@baboonsquadron Yes. I'm used to project images onto 3D surfaces including patch-projections. I'm using this technique to create photoreal 3D environments from painted/photoshopped images or to remove existing wires or rigs in real footage.
I really like this shot. Did you just project onto cards ? I was confused how you could get around the parallax on the trees and then noticed ( after many viewings ) that you have put some cg trees infront to help the blend, and that the original trunks mix in and out a little bit as the patches pass over where the person was. Very inspiring thankyou for sharing.
