So are there any scientific or objective tests? If it is true then how can the repetition of this fact be called manipulative? Compare this to the massive advertising going on in the US media to suggest depression or adhd is caused by chemical or brain imbalances. Who is being more deceitful in this case?
Yes, there are - but only for a few conditions. Mind you most of these testing techniques and studies are still in their infancy. However, they could rule out misdiagnosis in some cases. Unfortunately these tests are NOT promoted or implemented within the field. As I've stated before, I feel the answers will one day come from neuropsychology, not psychiatry.
@13Heathens 'a few conditions' ? Name them... I would like to understand what you define as science. 'most of these testing techniques and studies are still in their infancy' Yeh after 300 years of psychiatry there is not one objective test and not one cure. Compare this with proper science and medical advances. Does this not suggest something to you??
You say there are many tactics to influence peoples thinking, then you attack CCHR for repeating there are no tests. You say this is mind control. But you fail to mention that psychiatry mentions over and over that there is a chemical imbalance, which has never been proven. So, in your own words, psychiatry is attempting mind control by repeating the 'chemical imbalance' theory. You can't say one is attempting mind control and the other isn't when it's the exact same thing (repeating info).
the largest protests in march almost 9000 protestors met worldwide at their local scientology centers. Since then the number of protestors has been decreasing slowly, but steadily. In may there were still almost 4000 protestors, with regards to june 14th as of yet only a little over 3000 protestors have been counted
The public doesn't see this crap anyway. Look at the numbers. All the views and subscribers are anonymous. You are viewed as creepy masked bigots by most members of the public. You won't talk about that will you. How about anonymous who are now learning THE TRUTH ABOUT MY RELIGION and leaving your cult. You wont talk about that either.
Of course there is no ONE test. Just about anything medical uses several smaller tests to look for hints that A) something is wrong and B) what might be wrong. An example out be that there is no one test for cancer for the simple reason as there are dozens of types of cancer, not to mention some are damned good at not showing up except as several very minor symptoms until it's too late.
Nicely spotted and the use of out of context editing and quoting highlighted clearly.
Is the CCHR suggesting by this that there are NO mental problems at all? So, my two friends with bi-polar disorder are making it up? A relative is making up his schizophrenia?!!
Can we lock the CCHR in a room with the most dangerous paranoid schizophrenics with some blunt objects for a few days and see if the CCHR still says the same thing?!
umm, why should there be some kind of bio or blood test to look for a problem with someone's mind?i mean, how can someone's blood see if a person has multipul personalities?good video by the way.
