  • Fuck you, "Fred". I'll hit the Skip button if I want to.

  • I think this is the worst song on the album.

  • Blaze is a GREAT interpreter. You can feel desperation in his voice, like he is really watching the most frightening event of his life.

  • blaze is a great singer and no more

  • This totally should be the theme song for the movie Deep Impact

  • I love Maiden's underrated songs and albums because they are soooo maiden!!! That's music that none else could have ever written other than them. I love 2:22 on this one... is EPIC

  • The song when two huge armies collide. lol

  • I remember there used to be an awsome music video of this song on youtube. It was by some guy that also did Fortunes of War, Face in the Sand, Man on the Edge, Lord of the Flies, Gangland, and Alexander the Great, they were all great videos.

  • Virtual XI rocks!!!

  • to all those people who dont like blaze lets hear you do better then him, faggots

  • @1dearmisterfantasy

    I agree with you.

  • My favorite Iron Maiden's song...

  • who the fuck is him? I want Bruce...

  • @amicuscarcinos

    Shame on you

  • @MJC10011

Yes,Blaze is my best, I prefer him over Bruce

  • I have to say, it was the only good studio song from the era of Blaze. All the others wasn't good at all.

  • @ttony33 Nope, both this album and X factor are amazing, I don't know why people don't like these albums....

  • @metalmario298 I think the lack of Bruce was very noticeable. There are a lot of songs that was absolutely boring in my opinion. The Angel and the Gambler is the best example. I thought that song very very veeeery boring.

  • @ttony33 Well I don't see a lack of Bruce..most people preferred him, he is the better known singer, but it's not like these songs are bad just because Bruce isn't sing on them..most people don't like the Blaze era, but I feel the Blaze albums are underrated, is all...he's a great singer..

  • 2:21 : Awesome !!!

  • amazing 4:59

  • lo mejor d lo mejor en todo el mundo

  • and six people cannot listen to this song because they have dicks in their ears.

  • Here and there i see people saying they don't like Di Anno era or Bayley era and i think they all have van Gogh's ear for music. I don't consider them as true metalheads or Maiden fans. Yes, it's true, Bruce "Selfish Bastard" Dickinson is fucking awesome but Di Anno or Bayley is not bad, they're awesome too. In their own ways. Who can claim that Killers or the vocals in that album is a bad? IT-IS-FUCKING-WON-DER-FUL as are all Maiden albums and songs. If you cannot appreciate it, try J. Bieber.

  • blaze is fantastic! check out his soloalbums, just search for "blaze bayley".

  • Imagine the Bruce with this one yeah ...

  • did this album get tooken off itunes

  • bruce is great

  • I think this album was kind of underated. I have it, always like blaze. I dont think hes a bad singer, not the best but not the worst. Im glad they didnt try to put a bruce wannabe in place for this album.

  • I will forever be grateful to Blaze Bayley.... he did a good enough job to keep the band together until they refocused with Bruce and Adrian in 1999...... what they have done since is even better than what they accomplished the first era....thanks Blaze

  • The majority of Iron Maiden fans are mainstream Maiden fans and only listen to the hits from paul and bruce Maiden albums. Its pretty closed minded if you ask me. Blaze Bailey kicks ass and if Steve Harris,Dave Murray,Adrian Smith,Janik Gerrs, and Nicko Mcbrain didn't think so, then they never would have decided on blaze to be apart of Maiden. People need to open their minds up more and stop being followers of mainstream. Ultimately everything is based on opinion people!

  • @Tarjaholic88 honostly i used to be only bruce in like the 80s and 90s then i heard paul and listened to his era then i started hearing more and more and i love literally every song they have ever played my friend said he was a fan and only listened to live after death and before i still buy and listen to all of the albums i have about 8 and im 14 so thats pretty goodseeming as only one was a gift

  • this guitar catch me so unguard waw so beautiful

  • I don't think that this is Maiden's best song, but you gotta admit they did something right here. I've had this song stuck in my head for the past three days. I have listened to nothing else!

Amazing song from a Monumental band!

    Up the Irons \m/

  • I can't think of Baylay without thinking of Tim "Ripper" Owens or vice versa, both awesome singers replacing complete legends for a couple albums before mutually standing down when the legends were ready to return.

Baylay and Owens did amazing considering the shoes they had to fill.

    Good stuff.

  • This should be the theme song of 2012.You know, planet X...two worlds collide!

  • @Victimxofxprogress ooooohhh you have no idea.... its not the planet thats colliding...its a whole fucking dimension

  • NIBIRU!

  • Not bad, not bad at all

  • Love me some Blaze Maiden !

  • Beginning is the best. Reminds me the times when i do the math (for the hundreth time i check the declination)

  • People say "great lyrics, great song" But does anyone understand what it´s really about?

No. But when Nibiru comes, they will..

  • What does the song symbolize

  • greatest song from the blaze era and fun to play on guitar too

  • fantastico, up the ironsssssssssssssss

  • i think the albums with Blaze were maidens all time low apart from no prayer for the dying, they just dont sound the same, but their new stuff owns

  • Iron Maiden <3

  • I'm just curious how x factor and virtual 11 would sound with bruce...??!!

  • @orfeas8 well, some songs of Brave new world was composed by Blaze

  • @thesonoflucifer Only apart of "Dream Of Mirrors".

  • @johnthegreek178 nope, Nomad too and other songs but i dont remember

  • @orfeas8 songs like the clansman, the sign of the cross and lord of the flies have been recorded live with bruce, IMO the songs are pure win with Bruce.

  • Ahhh man I love Iron Maiden. I just cant get into this guys vocals tho, I just like Bruce 10x better, and IMO its becaus Bruce is 10x better.

  • may i ask why the fuck a demi lovato song is in the suggestions?

  • @MattC10C Because she did a video with the same name.

  • PHODASTICO!!!!!! EXCELENTE MUSICA!!!! UP THE IRONS!!! from BRAZIL

  • they had should put on judgemnet day , justice of the peace and life my way on this album

  • @mankei13 It still boggles my mind as to why they didn't put those songs on either "The X-Factor" or "Virtual XI." They're so criminally underrated, much better than most of the songs on those two records put together.

  • @TheHellPatrol666 its also my opinion buton thsi album it would be perfect so both albums have 11 songs

  • I really like the speeding up part in the beginning

  • UP THE IRONS! FROM CANADA! BRILLIANT SONG!

  • album i havent listened to that much but i think its really great

  • I am maybe weird fan of Iron Maiden, but Virtual XI is my favourite album by Irons.

  • Iron Maiden albums that don't recieve enough credit: X Factor, Virtual XI, No Prayer For The Dying, A Matter Of Life and Death. Also, people give Blaze Bayley too much shit. Sure he isn't Bruce, but hey, he could be a whole lot worse. And if it werent for Blaze, Iron Maiden wouldve died in 1994 and you would all hate Bruce for ruining them, and Brave New World, Dance Of Death, Matter Of Life and Death, and Final Fronteir wouldnt exist either, so basically Blaze saved 1990s Iron Maiden.

  • @MrLizardKing96 I love X Factor and AMoLaD :) Both among my favorites. Virtual XI I felt wasn't as strong as X Factor, but it's got some great songs on it as well. NPftD though, I must admit is not an album that I listen to often. Adrian leaving left quite a dent in the band and they didn't seem to be able to buff it out until Fear of the Dark, in my opinion.

Totally agreed that Blaze revitalized Maiden in the 90s and paved the way for the reunion.

  • @akyrii Yea I can agree with you on your opinion on all four of the albums I mentioned. Matter Of Life and Death has great potential and could be one of their most famous albums if given a chance. X Factor did have something Virtual XI didn't, whether it was more songs or the fact I liked some of the songs set in a depressing mood. No Prayer, I can see why that one could recieve less credit. It's a good album, but when compared to the other albums, it doesn't seem like it was Maiden who made it.

  • 5 humans didn'd survive the collision. :P

  • Virtual XI has got plenty of great solos actually. Both - Virtual XI and No Prayer are maiden's worst albums in my opinion but it doesn't mean that these albums are bad. Many bands dream about recording albums like those. Maiden kicks ass.

  • Great song, but im about to be a nerd. The beginning intro sounds alot like the fade in from 'Epitaph' to 'Island of Domination' from Sad wings by Judas Priest.

  • quando 2 mondi si scontrano

  • Iron Maiden was forged from the fire of the gods!

Hephaestus the Greek god of fire, got drunk with Bacchus the god of wine.

He went to piss and scorched the earth and from his flames Maiden was born!

    UP THE IRONS!!

  • blaze bayley is agreat singer for his era songs :D

  • Iron Maidens 100th studio song WOOHOO!!!

  • u know... my name may be acdc fan, but ironmaiden fan was taken :P

  • Is this Bruce Dickinson???wtf no its Blaze...DUH

  • Iron Maiden proves once again why they are the best band in the world - Even with a crappy singer

  • This one's for you, Buzzy!

  • I think that's one of the best songs of Iron Maiden era with Blaze Bayley

I mean it is so awesome

  • I love this song, it kicks ass

  • Very very BEST! UP THE IRONS

  • Hey, awsome song I love it. But Blaze Bailey is not as good as Bruce Dickenson.

Check out my videos. Please subscribe :

  • Blaze hasn't got a high enough voice as Bruce, and he can't convey emotion as as good.

There is no doubt Bruce is superior.

Needless to say, this is me COMPARING. Blaze is still awesome. Just nowhere near Bruce.

  • Definitely the best song of Bayley's period.

  • UP THE IRONS FROM POLAND !!!

  • I Love when he say : ''Now I can't Believe it's true , And I don't know what to do''

    So amazing <3

  • Definitely my favorite from the Blaze era.

  • I didn´t like when Blaze Bayley was in the Iron Maiden, he´s a bad singer and He doesn´t combine with the Iron Maiden.

Paul Di´anno and Bruce Dickinson are better than Blaze Bayley.

  • @MXYZPTLK1000 he isn't bad singer but he definetly can't sing classic-era Maiden songs, and that is his biggest (if not only) flaw... listen some of his other songs, and when he tried to sing classic-era songs (trooper, run to the hills etc). He can't truly sing paul/bruce era songs, but also Bruce cannot fully reproduce feeling of Blaze-era songs, althought I must say he was singing fine... Blaze definetly isn't on same level as other two, but can I say he is bad singer? no.

  • @MXYZPTLK1000

Well Blaze don't have a bad voice. He have an extremly good and unique Voice much like Glenn Danzig. He was a part of Maiden and I like that Maiden side too even though Bruce is Maiden. Paul also was really cool.

  • i love this album!! blaze was cool!!!

  • I feel real warmth towards Blaze - he sounds like he's singing this to himself in his kitchen whilst doing the washing up. I'm glad he sung for Maiden, each singer gives us a new appreciation of them. Up the Irons!

  • great song but the general songs quality really diminished from the wonderful x factor to this one

  • at first of course i couldnt get into virtual 11 cuz it didnt have bruce you know but now it sounds pretty good .

  • Once again for those who missed it - if you compare 'lord of the flies', 'sign of the cross', and 'the clansman', there is no comparison - these songs are totally Bruce's. Although there's nothing wrong with Blaze, and I really enjoy 'The X Factor', if you compare these songs, Blaze's voice doesn't quite make it. Clear now?

  • i completely disagree that albums like Virtual or X-factor was below par to other albums, you have to understand they experimented with lyrics. which is very much true to current world issues like climate change, terrorism, unethical greedy wars, ever increasing hunger of materialism. the lyrics/sound are pragmatic, blaze's voice was ideally suited to both the albums....

  • has anyone heard blazes old band Wolfsbane?

  • @MrPoohey78 yes !! i had one of their albums!!

  • sucks, not maiden not bruce , f this. piss me off

  • Am I mistaken or did I read someone's comment that they thought Blaze actually sang 'sign of the cross' and 'Lord of the flies' better than bruce? ~smacks my head a few times~ No, that had to be a mistake. Blaze's voice was weaker, with less range and just didn't do the band justice. Simple. Bruce was, is and will be THE voice of Maiden. Just listen to their versions of The Clansman. No contest. Sorry.

  • @riffmagos I could argue that Blaze's voice is deeper and warmer and that those songs have been written for his voice, so it's logical that they sound better with him.

    Also, Blaze live is amazing.

But I like both and I don't care about comparisons. :)

  • @Melyannadevart You don't care about comparisons and yet you reply to my comment? Hmmm.

  • @riffmagos OK, let's reword it: I don't care about making comparisons, as I like both singers. Better now?

  • @Melyannadevart ~smiles, shaking my head~ Never mind.

  • Bruce is the best Maiden singer but Blaze is awesome too. Paul Di'anno was ok

  • I really like this album..

I like Blaze's voice!(I'm not saying he's better than others OK Brucetes! U.U)

I think some musics Blaze sing Better than Bruce like Lord of the flies , Sign of The Cross..

The solo carrer of Blaze is amazing!*-*

Blaze isn't bad..the problem is you..you don't see how Blaze is good ;)

  • @MCMGers

Yes my friend ... you have the point!!!

    Cheers!

  • @MCMGers Agreed that mate. Fuck those close-minded fools.

  • if you think any maiden album isnt excellent than you'r NOT a maiden fan!

  • this record is pretty bad and that ain't Blazes Fault BTW. This was Iron Maiden lowest peak in their career. X-FACTOR IS STILL A MASTERPIECE beginning to end!

  • Me gusta más este album que el X-Factor. Me parece más melódico. El otro es más tristón. Con Blaze de cantante no se podían hacer canciones como con Dickinson. Pero están bien, no como las de la era Dickinson pero tienen un pase.

  • What a bad song.

  • @TheSoulless Why is Bad? The lyrics are cool and the music is good

  • The BlazeEra Rocks ! Even When the Maiden Frikie Fans do not like that! It Change all Maiden Music Is So Diferent so Good This Is a Master Piece For ME!

  • this album really brings me back when i was out of my mind doing drugs and being a real jerk ,i remember the girl i used to like i told her so,she kinda said she liked me but it took me a while to tell her i loved her,i went to my room balcony grabed my boom box put the album start drinking and started getting reflexive, this album was not the best from maiden but it stayed with me when i most needed a good friend, great memories of my 22 birthday back then on 98.

  • Nice Solo :) Nice Song :D

  • lyrics sucks but the music is great! Respect Maiden with Paul, Bruce and Blaze! Up the Iron from Portugal !

  • Iron Maiden kick ass with Paul,Bruce and Blaze.

  • wounderbar!!! vielen danke!

  • great song great album but not popular due to blaze. I think blaze and his work with maiden was misjudged...

  • @ExtremeAlexxxxRock I agree. He wasn't Bruce by no means, but they made the best choice humanly possible at that point in time.

  • Blaze have his own good stuff...

  • I don't get it. With the Bruce vs Blaze crap... since when was a singers vocal range directly translate to how good they are. Dave Mustaine has range but his voice sucks. On the other hand Bon Scott (ACDC), James Hetfield (Metallica), and Ronnie Van Zant (Lynyrd Skynyrd) had little range, but were excellent singers. Blaze's problem was playing live, with older Iron Maiden songs, in particular Bruce's. If you had Bruce sing songs from Blaze Bayley's band's set Im sure you'd think that sucked too.

  • Bruce is god, but Blaze is also a great singer. Not as good, but I'm sure he is better of many of you, who are here telling he can't sing.

  • Bruce Dickinson? Have you ever heard him singing? XD

  • Read description on the right.

  • @xxx10sumxxx you my friend are a dumbass.... for not knowing if its blaze bruce or paul they all have different styles

  • @xxx10sumxxx

this album is of the blaze era no bruce dickinson for this album and the x factor

  • @xxx10sumxxx no, it's Blaze Bayley

  • Wow. What a great album. I've been looking for this song for a while.

  • UP THE IRONS FROM CHILE!!!!!

  • UP THE IRONS!!! ... GREAT SONG

  • Comment removed
