  • As far as how I train, I do several types of jogs. Somedays I'll go jog 3 miles straight and just work on getting it done. On other days I combine jogging with walking, but I do a faster jog since I can recover a little with the walking. Once a week I try to do a long jog. Right now it's six miles. I go at a slower pace, but I'm just trying to get the distance in so that a 5k won't seem as bad.

  • @mfreeman73 Ah! Great idea.  So far I can't really run the whole way, but I'd like to work up to doing more than that over time. When I can get it under 30 minutes it would be alot easier to get more distance in because I only have an hour for running each morning.

  • I do 5ks all the time. It helps to keep me motivated to run. When I don't want to go jogging I remember that I have a race coming up and I don't want to be unprepared for it so it helps me to get out there jogging. Keep up the good work!

  • @mfreeman73 Yeah, there aren't a lot of 5k's where I'm from, but I'll definitely do them whenever they're around. The next one isn't until October.
