  • your confused kid. please stop posting videos. I wouldn't be surprised if all you watch is fox. And please, please, PLEASE, change the name of you channel. "HowTheWorldWorks", who are you kid?

  • The Berlin Wall was around West Berlin, not the reverse.

By the way, I know you've gone to college, so I'm confused as to why you repeat the myth that "liberal college professors are trying to brainwash you!"

Get a grip. I've only had one professor bring up his politics in an inappropriate way, and he was a conservative. Complaining about education weakens your argument by implying that it can't stand up to academic rigor.

  • I like your argument but what this has to do with the fall of the Berlin wall?....

  • The wall in Palestine/Israel is the new Berlin Wall.

Hugo is not a true socialist, there can not be any equality if there is any form of government.

All communist states so far have been state-capitalist.

Also Marxism is not the same as Communism and Communism is not the same as Stalinism and so on.

  • They are all branches of communism, communism is just the whole theory and Leninism, Maoism, Trotskyism, Castroism, and Stalinism. Hugo, isn't a socialist, he claims he is, but he is not. All communist countries, aren't in any form capitalist, in North Korea, Cuba, Vietnam, Laos, all are very socialist in fact, and have used the correct methods to be used in a socialist/communist society.

  • Communism is also a form of slavery.

  • No, that is Fascism, slavery imposes to enslave their peoples, labor camps, for punishment, isn't slavery. You are just completely irrational.

  • Frostidiot, The Soviets had huge Gulags (prisons) where they sent political prisoners to be reeducated. They were slaves doing the most harsh labor. Of course most never left the Gulag alive. But hey, why would you bother with facts?

  • Yes, they did have gulags, they were normally large, because they were labor camps, not prisons you idiot. They weren't slaves, they were mainly in the breaking of the law which led them to be put into the gulag into the first place. Now people who were avarice, were put into the category of kulak, which was the one who was usually put into a gulag, people never left it alive, was because they broke the law, by murder, or any other sort of crime that gives a high ratio.

  • IT had the same statistics as a prison, but prisons weren't in the Soviet Union, they thought that the murderers, rapists, and others should be put into re-education camps, to be given morality, people who committed petty crimes, were simply put into the gulag to work, that is what labor was somehow deprived of as well. People, who broke the law, don't deserve a correct system of given treatment, they weren't slaves, slaves are randomly placed into it, while these people were put in by themselfs

  • Obama can't make the trip to Germany for this occasion. He hates freedom and the UK.

  • He doesn't hate freedom, nor does he hate the United Kingdom, if he were to hate both, you would not be typing in this very place, and HowTheWorldWork's account would be closed by now. People such as you, would be penalized and not able to speak, if he hates freedom, then why hasn't he silenced you, and your other "patriots". Wouldn't have he hanged Rupert Murdoch by now for making the television program called "Fox News". Filled with ignorant conservatives, who claim Leftists are inferior.

  • Frost, He does hate freedom. He is stealing more of it every day.

  • You still claim that, yet you haven't given the correct facts for that.

  • Hey, there wouldn't be a Fox News if the American media (CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, PBS) wasn't so liberally-biased.

  • technically the cold war never really ended since we still have the same hearsay, propaganda ,pc,rhetoric and childish name calling and behaviour from both sides that we had during the cold era.I mean there is irony litteraly dripping out of HTWW here and pretty much every "left" and "right" wing pundit alive today.

  • Sooo... you're saying that Germany is a market economy?

I thought we were a *socialist* country, with all our evil public healthcare, evil public education (even universities!), evil laws against hate speech, severe (and evil, naturally) gun control, our evil absence of death penalty and many, many other socialist, and more importantly: EVIL... things!

  • Is this guy really this stupid or is he performing for a stupid audience?

  • This guy has such subjective views.

USSR wasnt communist it was stalinist originally and evolved into a sort of fashist regime.

communism is when everyone in society is equal in just about every aspect possible and there are no leaders.

  • I will not reply to any response. This is just a quick observation. Indeed, Communism has never occurred. That's the point. It is impossible by the nature of human beings to adhere to a system built on wishful thinking. Humans are fallible - no exception. That is why centralizing more power than necessary into government hands is a losing proposition. Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. And therein lies the problem. The dissolution of gov't does not occur after the goals are met.

  • Yeah happend in china and russia (and probs elsewhere). I dont know whether its a shame or not communism doesnt work. A part of me thinks its great that people are equal. But its less individualistic which i think would be boring. Also it kinda lacks true freedom. Plus there is no real motivation for people to work hard, as people who doss around get the same reward...

  • You are possibly the most ignorant person I've ever seen, on USSR. USSR was communist, it started out Leninist, then Stalinistic, it was communist.

  • It wasnt communist by definition.

I know communism doesnt work in the real world. But stalinism is not communism. Marx in his theory says that when the proletariat take the power and ownership of everything they will distribute it fairly. This is where stalinism differs because this did not happen, stalin took power and remained as a tyrannical despot. Its a fatal flaw in marx's theory, and one of the reason communism will never work.

  • fuck political correctness lets get real profiling saves lives

  • North Korea and South Korea are a far better example...

  • Bottom line: I weep for mass society.

  • I think a better example is North and South Korea... more modern too (controlled vs free market economy).

  • I totally agree, that is an excellent point, even the average height and weight are significantly different from N to S. the kids in the south are much bigger and more healthy. Why don't we ship our statists over there....

  • Very true... I think we would love to ship our statists but the fact remains that North Korea would probably just not allow for it to happen. I mean their censorship in media, watchfulness of foreign visitor, etc... just blow your mind... I mean it is almost like the book "1984" by George Orwell...

  • So how many strawmen did you count? I got seven. Post your numbers below!

  • 5 stars. I hate Fox news for Bush and Glenn Beck but they do have Judge Napolatano, so at least they are TRYING to jump on the freedom bandwagon.

  • you make me want to give up on the world.

  • Lol, im not big on defending American bull shit, but guys like you are a joke, at least try to be discreet. It is like when the kindergartener tunts the Captain of the football team, you simply look foolish, I believe you have a case of the green eyeyd monster., youre tying way to hard.

  • Wait a minute? So now it's alleged that the psycho tried to contact al-Qa'eda? Doesn't this strike you as odd? How does one CONTACT al-Qa'eda? WHO is al-Qa'eda, anyway? How does this work?

    I don't believe it.

  • Glorification of the German Democratic Republic is on the rise two decades after the Berlin Wall fell. Young people and the better off are among those rebuffing criticism of East Germany as an "illegitimate state." In a new poll, more than half of former eastern Germans defend the GDR.

  • Their land and resources have been spoiled, and their intellect robbed for over half a century by the crushing punishment of dissension and individuality. The human reaction to an inhuman existence of such duration and severity has understandably culminated in their offspring's flawed views. They'll have to adapt to the new reality of personal responsibility. Unfortunately, their government is unlikely to nurture that endeavor very effectively, despite formerly co-opting the role.

  • Liberals and statists all suck cock in hell.... they should all be made to go live in a country where freedom is choked and prosperity is a pipe dream. We the freedom loving capitalists could then find true peace while watching their exploits on a reality TV show...I'm so patriotic, I would actually support a wannabe socialist to get on a plane to go, one way of course! hooray for free speach!

  • The best thing the American government could do would be to shut down the military. Not even including the occupations and civil wars we are involved in already, the military is sucking 1 trillion dollars of wealth per year out of the US. This figure is from a peer reviewed study of the us military across other depts. For example, there are projects in the DOE that are military in nature but fall under the DOE budget, thus hiding the military cost.

  • I agree, the military is expensive, but do you really want to put a big target on the U.S.?

  • I think the military gives the US more problems and makes us more vulnerable.

First, our insane military has but such a burden on our currency and a currency crisis could hurt us far more than any foreign military could.

Our military presence all over the world has incited hatred and contempt of the US in every area of the world, especially in the middle east.

  • Yes. That's a great idea. Shut down the military. There is no rationale for it in peaceful times such as these. You should also stop visiting the restroom, because that's where unpleasant things get perpetuated. Our current administration thinks less of a trillion dollars than you and I do, apparently. They'd rather spend it on 30.000 jobs. Hell, I think I could create more jobs with a trillion dollars and I'm not even Harvard educated.

  • I hope you are not trying to be sarcastic.

We have at LEAST 800 foreign military bases that the US admits to and thousands in the US. we simply do not need this giant military and it doesn't make us safer. Remember the Orwell line "war is peace"? I am reminded of that every time I hear someone explain why we need to be imperial power to maintain peace.

I guess you forget how they held us hostage for 40 years with the cold war.

  • There's no shame in having foreign military bases. And no, I don't remember the line "war is peace". I've read a lot since high-school, so I can only guess that the implication of the quote echoes an old proverb about peace through strength. If you're the type to tie one hand behind your back when you confront your enemies then you are either a showoff or a dumb ass. And we are not an "Imperial" power, We hold no dominion over anyone other than our states - though we certainly could.

  • Its from 1984. Called "doublethink" ...war is peace, black is white.. etc etc.

We are seeing that now with Obama expanding 2 war and trying to start a 3rd yet winning the Nobel Peace Prize. ie. war is peace.

  • What do you call the invasion and occupation of a foreign nation? Neither Afghanistan or Iraq attacked the US, we invaded them and destroyed their lives and homes. The gov learned their lesson with Vietnam and won't let the press put the war on tv every night, but it's every bit as ugly and destructive (and inflationary) as Vietnam was.

We do not need 800+ (nobody know how much higher it really is) foreign bases and we can't afford it.

  • You did not say we do not need 800+ foreign bases - you said, "The best thing [snip] would be to shut down the military." An absurd and indefensible statement, as evidenced by your backpedaling.

The interventions into Iraq and Afghanistan should have been more critically evaluated regarding their value/cost to our National Security. No argument from me on that.

Lastly - we did see the war on t.v. every night when 1. A republican was Pres. and 2. When the war was going badly. O gets a pass...

  • I haven't back peddled shit, I still believe America would be better off shutting down it's military. I don't think we should have no military at all, but it would be better if it were much smaller. First of all, we have thousands of miles of ocean on the east and west and a 3rd wold nation with no military to the south and a friendly western nation with no military to the north. America has used it military to try and be the worlds policeman and has destroyed countless US wealth.

  • Ooops, you backpedaled again. Or is that just blatant contradiction? "...better off shutting down it's military. I don't think we should have no military at all..." Which is it? Hard to argue with someone who hasn't fully formed an opinion. Get back to us when you have.

  • I thought it was fairly obvious what I meant. The military needs to be substantially smaller, maybe back to the size it was before WW2. Maintaining standing armies has destroyed every single world power that has ever existed. The gov was afraid that the depression would come back after WW2 and that is why they kept so much of it.

A gov with a small or no military is not tempted to use military force without justification. In 4 years we built the biggest military in history.

  • The military was almost gutted immediately following WWII. They did not keep the rolls artificially high to hedge against relapse into depression. In future conflicts we will not have 4 years to rebuild our military. We definitely need better oversight of military spending, but this is one of the few powers that our federal government is Constitutionally allotted. They need to cut a lot more things than just military funding.

  • I agree with you that we need across the board spending cuts, but military is a big target. It's hard to imagine any conventional war worse than WW2 and a nuclear war doesn't need all this BS our military has. I don't see a single military out there that is a danger to the US, we aren't living in the cold war era anymore.

  • China is emerging with a very aggressive military posture, and Russia has gone back to playing the same geo-political games as it did in the Cold War. Nobody imagined WWI or WWII would be what they ultimately became. What we need is for Europe and other countries that have benefited from our aegis to step up and start taking more responsibility for their own defense. We've contributing to the sustenance of their elaborate social welfare systems with our military tax dollars.

  • Why would China pick a fight with it's #1 trading partner? it just doesn't make any sense and Russia doesn't want it ether. The real question should be what are we doing in Europe in the first place? Do you think Europe is better off because America forces itself on it? We have destabilized the middle east which is eventually going to erupt.

  • Re: China, you have a point, but things are not that simple with a country that treats its people like so many ball bearings. No one "wants" to hurt a puppy, yet they are skinned alive in some countries as a matter of course. You are simply interjecting your Western decency into what needs to be an objective analysis of foreign threats. Europe would kick us out in a nanosecond if they could take care of themselves. And when was the last time the middle east was stable?

  • The middle east was fairly stable before the US and Europe decided to create a Jewish state in the middle of the Arab word and on the best land in the area.

Europeans mass murdered Jews and the Arabs had to give up their land so Jews could always have a place to go if it ever happened again. Why weren't they given part of Germany? I am an atheist and I have no bias, and I really think the Arabs got shafted in this deal and that is why they are so angry at us.

  • Wait , the Jews weren't "given" the land in Israel at all. It was purchased in huge tracts by the JNF (and well prior to that before the establishment of "zionism"). And it wasn't "the best land in the area" until the JNF invested millions into draining swamps and planting millions of trees on the land. They MADE it good land. The bought it. Then the Arabs wanted to take it from them. BTW, a lot the land wasn't even purchased from Arabs, much less taken, it was owned by Europeans.

  • I am certainly no expert on the middle east, and I have never heard any of this stuff. I have always heard it was the best land with the best access to water. I can not possibly think of a worse place to have put Israel and the world is going to pay the price. With Iran going nuclear the area is becoming more and more dangerous.

  • 'Berlin wall" was build to keep people desiring freedom inside East Germany.

"The wall in Israel" is build to protect the free Israeli people from Arab terrorist attacks

  • And should any kind of oppressive government form in Israel, it will be used to keep people in. People forget, governments are the most organization on the earth. Germany was free open society and in less than 10 years became an oppressive murderous regime. Same in Italy, Russia, China and so on and so on. When America had small gov, we were a beacon of hope and freedom. People from all over the world left their families, wives, children and so on, just to come here. Who comes now?

  • Who comes now? ALL THE NON MUSLIM CULTURES WORLDWIDE Iran goals by Ahmadinijad: Shia worldwide and end of democracy 1:At a ceremony, president Ahmadinejad said that the mission of Irans Islamic regime was to raise the message of the coming of the Mahdi worldwide. link:ILNA, Iran September 8 2009 2:Addressingin eastern Azarbaijan province, Iranian President Ahmadinejad said today that liberal democracy is on its last legs. link:IRIBnews, Iran November 20 2009
  • What does this have to do with not trusting governments and the danger Israeli's face from their own government?

No institution known to man has caused more suffering than governments.

  • As for China, I agree about how they treat their citizens and it's part of the reason I am not as bullish on China as many people are. If the US gov can't be trusted (and they can't) the Chinese gov definitely can't be trusted. But I still don't think they would try to attack us.

  • Well let's see, now that they hate us so bad for being over there, let's just apologize and pull out. Great idea.

  • @christo930 : I need to correct you. Afghanistan quite definitely did attack us, via its act of sheltering and encouraging Al Qaeda. This is called, by all rational human beings, "being an accessory to the crime." And it carries the same penalty as doing the crime.

When you think 9/11, think of Al Qaeda, and its safe harbor in Afghanistan. And remember also that the Taliban government was given a choice -- expel Al Qaeda or else.

  • They refused to hand Bin Laden to us, but they agreed to hand him over to an international authority. Afghanistan did not attack us and 9/11 was mostly done by Saudi's.

  • The reason they agreed to hand him over to an "international authority"???? Oh yeah, they didn't want to be bombed from their current Stone Age level back to the pleistocene by our military.

  • Whether that is true of not, they still offered to turn him over. They knew there was a 0 percent chance of a fair trial for him in the US.

  • In a banana republic like Venezuela that assertion might be correct, but it does not apply to the U.S., unless by fair trial you mean he would be unfairly kept from being punished by our politicized judicial system. And the Taliban didn't give a rats ass about whether Bin Laden got a fair trial or not. They were weighing the benefits of hiding a wealthy "renter" against the chance of military annihilation.

  • Great. The American economy is already supporting 2 occupations and a civil war, why not have another one and spend our last dime.

  • Funny how West Germany wasn't a "free market" in the terms you think a "free market" should be. It was well regulated. Like any responsible capitalist system should be.

Also, care to elaborate on the "threats" the White House is making against Democratic reps to not go on Fox? I call "*misleading bullshit*" on that statement.

I suppose your next video is going to imply Anita Dunn left because of conservative pressure...

  • Keep it up!

  • you need to get rid of all your denotations....they are annoying. yes i know i can turn them off, but it just makes your video look pathetic...other than that, keep up the good work.

  • I love it as always. Keep it up buddy.

  • This guy's a joke.

Your "source" links are full of fail.

  • It was flagged because Liberalviewer fans couldn't take the beating.

  • And these are the same people who claim to be so tolerant and open-minded... self-righteous hypocrites...

  • What do you mean by false flag?

  • he means someone flagged it for no reason

  • People really can't say Hasan did this because of PTSD. Either he was a Muslim extremist, or this is the first ever case of second-hand PTSD.

  • Obama wantto bild a wall arounf the US america and tell us how to live because is a Marxist and a Comunist he is a nAzi too. Shawn Penn OlIVer Stone will love him after he destroys aMERica beginning with our heaklth care system and talking our guns away and killing free speech.

  • l3arn to spell plz

  • And today is the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street.

  • You're being facetious, right? Either that or you're off your rocker.

  • Strange how those who support a Command & Control Society will tell you that the Communist never existed and they harmed no one and oh yeah by the way did you know Socialism is Wonderful? Yeah, yeah they have it in Europe it's great.

Get a grip and read a history book. Communism was/and is hard core tyranny!

  • Do you know how many WalMarts, Targets, Walgreens, strip malls, etc that could have been built with that money... that would have created a LOT of jobs. Gah, its sickening.

  • Thanks for the Berlin Wall link; great video!

  • Its time to remove Marxist professors

  • Great video.

  • The fall of the wall was the result of Ronald Regans leadership, direction and effort. It brought freedom to millions of Eastern Europeans and security from an impending nuclear war disaster for the whole World, with the subsequent USSR collapse.

What happened since and how Russia was managed after is not his fault and out of his power.

In the future, if we still have free society, his legacy will be subject of Historians praise. What a great man- President Reagan !

  • MewHamHead, Funny how little I've heard President Regans name mentioned during this celebration of the fall of the wall. They seem to want to give the credit to Gorby, a commie who didn't really want that wall to come down. Our President forced ole Gorb to bring down that wall with economic and political pressure. Ronald Regan was the greatest president of my lifetime, (55 years) and one of, if not THE greatest in the history of our country.

  • My 25, British, years fully agree. Reagan was something special. Full Honours!

  • The British had their own version of Reagan in Margret Thatcher. A great leader in her own right, and greatly revered in the States. Between Reagan and the Iron Lady the left around the world were shaking in their collective boots.

  • yes, that`s a good one. :-)

  • traitors like sean penn should be imprisoned for treason

  • Methinks Lee may not know where Berlin is!

  • Gee, i didnt know glenn beck was an official spokesman for fox news and that what he says, is what every single host, news reporter and even the president of fox news thinks.

    Thanks for clearing that up.

    Retard.

  • if glenn beck said that well i disagree, i'd love for the atheists to discredit themselves on national tv

  • to bad thats never going to happen

  • Horrid video. Horrid, horrid, horrid.

  • The government is incapable of creating jobs, only reallocating from the private sector for the government does not create wealth, only steals it.

  • I have stood by the grave markers of those who made it across the river to freedom only to have the communist/socialist bullet hit them in the back.

  • I seem to recall seeing footage of a woman getting a face full of barbed wire while trying to run away from this socialist utopia... of course, you'll say it was there for her own protection.

    watch?v=nch5MbnvTqY

It's at 6:25, by the way.

  • can't it be argued regan help set up the fall of the communist alliance with the contras and what not during the cold war? of course communism won't work if there's active opposition. err i'm a little hazy with that portion of history but someone help me out or refute the argument.

  • White House: Don't you dare get interviewed by Fox News, fellow democrats!

    Loyalists: Okay!

Blind Supporters: I don't see enough democrats on Fox News! Fox News must be against Free Speech!

  • lol!!

  • i stopped getting leftist professors after i got into my business classes

    IDUNNOWHYLOL

  • funny because I have never meet a republican teacher during my studies in astrophysics, only my neighbor who is 60 years old

    Iwonderwhy

  • Venezuela doing a full scale 'military exorcise' at the country border. There's nothing fishy about that O.o

  • ..the right to be gunned down while running away from the right to a home?

  • Who's asking if he represents the Muslim religion?

Its a moot point when he contacts Alqueida unless he's a double agent who's trying to be an informant.

  • Beautiful!! Great vid Lee

  • And how about a shout out to the Italian government for growing a pair and convicting in absentia the CIA kidnap and rendition team that assaulted, kidnapped, and deported an Italian national, Muslim cleric Abu Omar, to Egypt, where they summarily ordered him tortured. The Italian court convicted 22 members of the CIA, a USAF colonel, and an Italian intelligence accomplice, but did not convict 5 co-conspirators within the Italian government, including the former head of their M.I.

  • I think that you and Stephen Crowder should do a vid where you interview his "not Mohamed" character.

  • You do know that this is not the first time that Chavez has tried to make a power play against Columbia, right? He tried to collude with Ecuador to invade them for gods sake.

  • Although I never liked fox news the Obama Administration has officially taken this too far.

  • Comment removed

  • It's sad to look at the extent to which the object lesson of the wall hasn't been enough to keep Germany off the road back to some form of socialism. The wall could be back up (figuratively) before the 25th anniverary comes around at this rate.

  • Before you know it, schools will be telling kids the Berlin wall was to keep people out of the Marxist utopia.

I agree, we need to bring reality back. Wake up people, This is a nightmare.

  • You people have been amply clear about how you think anyone who disagrees with you should be "delt with." Just try to force yourselves on us and see what happens.

  • OK, I have to get this out of the way - are you what would be considered a bad-hand sockpuppet account?

  • You evidently can't write four consecutive words without a major typo. You don't need any of my help to not be taken seriously.

  • That thesaurus sure is fun, eh compadre?

  • Fuck the AK.

The bona fide straight shooting Marx-Marking Desert Eagle is all you need to abject pure justice... notice it's called the Desert EAGLE, cuz made in the good ol' U S of A!

....and parts of Israel. Cuz even Satan would piss blood at the sight of it's pure godliness!

  • I'm not even going to bother in explaining how dumb you sound...

  • sir, you're a fool. Socialism is ever present in america and Capitalism hasn't been present on this soil since 1623 with the pilgrims. communism is a proven failed system. it failed in Russia, it failed in China, and it fails everywhere else.

Communism is a system of slavery and capitalism is a system where the noble and honest man can make his living.

the only people who stand up for communism and marxism are people who can't open their eyes enough to see the facts.

    "Communism HAS FAILED"

  • Israel's a good country for firearms, I'm a big fan of the Magal.

The Desert Eagle was made as a hunting handgun, and that is, for the most part, what it's good for. Many of Magnum Research's other arms are intended primarily for hunting.

  • @HK379

    Right! I believe you.

  • Actually, there's nothing keeping you from yelling whatever you want in a theater or plane. However, you'll be held accountable for the chaos it will cause. With great rights comes great responsibility, give one up, and you likely will lose the other, much like you seem to have done.

  • With great rights comes great responsibility. I've been saying that for years brother. Only I always like using freedom over rights in the saying but nonetheless sums things up for those who don't get it.

  • I don't know what professor would say Cuba is good place to live in , i was born there and i used to see the police beat the crap out of people all the time. I'm glad i gout out there.

  • Therefore, God and Satan had nothing to do with what they did.

  • marxism hasn't existed in a government before just because somebody calls themselves marxist doesn't mean they are

    marxism is left libertarianism

marxism is a form of communism with limited government

the closest a group of people has come to being marxist was some native american tribes in north america

so Obama wanting more government is actually anti marx

  • Yeah, I'm all for some reality coming back.

  • can we have reality back? :)

  • k, I will send a dollar

  • AL Keida (excuse my spelling) is not made up of all muslims. So him contacting them has nothing to do with him being associated with the muslim faith.

  • Is the US starting to make its own Berlin Wall to keep productive intelligent people with money inside the US?

  • 2:45

thought you would say north and south korea

    anyway, good video

  • $25 Billion and no jobs? Give 25,000 people each a million dollars (those who are unemployed because of the economy) and I guarantee that they will help contribute to economic growth. If the average person can live on $50,000 a year or less, than $1 million will guarantee each of those 25,000 people 20 or more years of financial stability. Now that is what I call helping with the unemployment rate!

  • Or better yet, the government could have simply not taken that $25 billion from We The People in the first place. Leave it in the hands of those were responsible enough to work to earn the money in the first place. Let them purchase, invest, innovate, and create jobs.

I hate to say it, but judging from what becomes of the average lottery winner, redistributing the money even in that fashion would have a negative effect; 25,000 people electing not to work while they live off of their "winnings."

  • GREAT VIDEO!

  • i remember when the wall was knocked down i was a kid maby 8 born in 79.

  • Berlin wall is like the fence in Geroge Orwell's Animal Farm. Animal Farm, a book I highly recommend. Delivers a powerful message using simple words. Great for children. And no I do not get paid if you buy it. :)

  • Was the energy intended to create jobs ?

I paid virtually no attention to it I'll admit, but from what I head wan't the intent to update our systems and somewhat encourage "green" tech ?

  • the world was a lot better back in 1989

  • YES When we had a real President! 20 Years ago! And where was our president today? ... no tribute no acknowledgement !

  • Why would Obama want to pay tribute to the anniversary of an event that symbolizes the failure of everything he believes in?

Collectivists never recognize the failure of their systems as evidence of the shortcomings of their philosophy, but of the people who were expected to live by it.

  • I can only hope.

Meanwhile the rest of us are their slaves as they live their lives with their hands in our pockets.
