ya you get the reversal and the 3 back points if you hold em long enough for the refs count.

not really i usually get it right when the whistle blows, other rthan that it is, it has to be very quick to so your opponent wont follow you.

yea, i prefer more basic moves when on the down position, my favorite being the sitout-switch

Doesn't always work for a reversal, but when they don't expect it great for your escape. If they know its coming you can get stopped, but if you really commit they stop not put you on your back.

It's hard to grab that hand in the beginning, and that's key to the entire technique.
