  • i guess the kids really ARE alright.

  • Why can I hear robots talking to me?

  • This guy is such a winner!

  • Doesn’t every child have the right to have somebody who loves them?

It’s love that makes a family, but it’s marriage that protects it.

    YouTube Title

Ask a Gay Family Ep. 1 Is Daniel Disabled

  • Great talk man and I agree with you 100% and yes, Love is stronger than anything else!! And You have become a great speaker and you can thank your parents for that!!

  • Would you rather have 2 moms or 2 dads? (say why) :)

  • @Monscent I would rather have 2 Moms, or 2 Dads, or 1 Mom and 1 Dad.

As long as the two parents teach equality and love and support their children....who cares?

I don't feel this is about gay/straight.....I think it is about the fear that strikes the hearts of bigots when you mess with the "gender role" that their entire identity is based on.

Men can be stay at home parents who cook and clean.

Women can be Mechanics who work 60 hrs a week.

    It's all very scarey!!!!!

  • @clubindiana4 Yes, I agree with you. I think it doesnt matter if your parents are gay or not in regard to you being able to get a good upbringing. My question was just for fun: if you had gay parents would you rather it be 2 dads or 2 moms, as your situation would depend somewhat on it. I think 2 dads can raise a child just as good or 2 moms, but it doesnt have to be identical to be good. As a guy Id rather have 2 dads as I think Id grow up with a hell of a fashion sense :D (stereotype I know)

  • @Monscent "As a guy Id rather have 2 dads as I think Id grow up......"

Life is never what you expect.....you'd prolly end up with two "leather bears" as dads. Can you imagine "arts and crafts day" in 3rd grade?....how is your studded leather hat supposed to compete with the homemade all electric Honda hybrid created by the child with two lesbian parents?

  • @clubindiana4 Sigh, either youre a troll misunderstanding me on purpose, or you seriously need to loosen up.

  • @Monscent I guess sarcasm doesn't translate to text....I'm kidding!

I thought the "Studded leather cap/hybrid" scenario was priceless.....are you British?

  • @clubindiana4 priceless. I love British humour and Amercian storytelling, so now you have a German friend, congrats

  • Learn to Love,Care...open to all you do even, its differant when hear truth

    live truth,openess

  • lmfao at 7:29 moms hungry for a piece of her little boy.

  • powerful speech, and, he is charming <3

  • <3 <3 <3

  • rock on Zack!

  • Ya it does

  • haha he made a heart symbol with his hands to his mom. that was nice. really bright intelligent man, more people should be like him.

  • is it weird that I find this guy extremely hot just from that speech? O_O

  • @filipamd i was just thinking the same thing LOLOL

  • He's outstanding, AND pretty :D

  • @kitten5135 totally agree with you :D

  • a family of amazing people!

  • #LGBTQ #Toronto #2Moms Thank You

  • Christianity doesn't allow homosexuality and same sex marriage. Unfortunately USA, Australia and many countries are stupidly blinded by its hypocrisy. That's where it all comes from.

They criticise the muslim countries for applying Islamic law to those who don't agree, yet they're forcing Christianity values to those who don't even believe.

Peaceful Occupy Sydney protesters were hit with excessive force by police, now if that had been in China, the US would've condemned it.

    Freedom my ass.

  • Just because I believe that gay people have a right to marry the one that they love just like straight people do, does not mean that I am not a true Catholic. We think oppression is gone, but it's still here today! Wonderful speech zach

  • awww.....

he is so inspiring. his parents are too.

  • I find this all so funny because if you look at the divorce rate in America... "better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness or in health, to love and to cherish 'till death do us part..." its amazing how it is okay for people to defy the Bible and divorce but when it comes to homosexual marriage, oh no stop right there you are crossing the line! If marriage is meant to be sacred, make it illegal to divorce. Its so easy to find hypocrisy in religious politics.

  • @EvilMoogIe you just blew my mind. i hope this stays top comment for along time

  • @UnderwaterDrumming lol I had no idea my comment had so many likes

  • @EvilMoogIe One name... Newt Gringrich

  • Warum gibt es keine Deutsche Kommentare für diese Video? Tut mire leid für meine laute Mitbürger...

  • @gheistlicheaugen es ist einfacher in englisch streiten...

  • We live in the 21st Century. How much more time will humanity waste on "issues" about whether or not to keep embracing discrimination and appeasing biggots?

When will we at last measure a person's worth by the content of their character?

We claim to have become color blind. We claim to offer religious freedom. We insist we don't discriminate against anyone. How then can we still continue treating the LGBT community as second class citizens?

Aren't we THERE YET? Let's grow up FAST!

  • You are born straight or gay. You had no choice in the matter. To hate someone for not having the sexual attractions you insist they shoud have is something you acquired. Hate is a learned behavior and it has no beneficial side, it is always a profound character flaw.

There are good people and there are bad people. Their sexuality does not factor in.

There are no "reasons" to discriminate against anyone, only excuses.

To hate someone is bad enough. To try and "explain" why, is pathetic.

  • Wow. Zach....our family is not same sex. But I want to tell your parents what a wonderful job they have done...and if you were my son, I would be extremely proud. You have just proved a great point by speaking out. I will now support same sex marriages in Australia.

  • I truly don't understand the argument and views of people who are against gay marriage. When people say a child needs a female and male figure in their lives, LOOK AT THIS GUY! When people say that a child raised by gay parents will turn out gay themselves, LOOK AT THIS GUY! There is no other view point that makes sense. Gay marriage is not wrong at all!

  • Those of you who perceived weirdness in the audio, what you are hearing is artifacts arising from lossy encoders working in tandem. The source of this video is probably other YouTube videos, so YouTube re-encoded and thus re-compressed the audio when Rhetorik uploaded this, which always compromises the audible integrity. Your hearing is fine, don't worry.

Brilliant video. Vielen Dank für Ihre Übersetzung, Rhetorik. :)

  • Or I wish I understood German.

  • It's too bad I only have a left speaker that works. I would love to be able to hear how wonderful this video apparently is. :/

  • No wonder Ellen got this kid on her show, wow... just wow... Yeah, let's get some kid on your show that is just as much of a pussy as you are...

  • Stand up for what you believe in, even if you're standing alone!...

  • in Ellen, what a surprise...

    is he gay too himself?

  • @ValmisFilm watch the video, use your ears, and find out

  • Wow that boy is like the prince of the fairy tales, his perfect and was raise by two woman.

  • this guy is awesome

  • He's hot by the way.

  • can I just say he is SXE! <3

  • His mother should be proud of him. It is sad that the government has to dictate who you are to love. This dude is every parent's dream kid, Homosexuality does not have any effect on a child's character. is the government saying that you would rather have a child live with abusive straight parents that live with loving gay parents? And yet we say we are free.. Un fucking believable. SMH

  • so is ellen attracted to him because he's a lesbian?

  • Im Catholic an I fully support Gay Rights and Gay Marriage

Catholics do not talk to God so don't act like you know him and speak for him

  • Audio is bad

  • I love that little heart he makes to his mom. I think I need to marry this Iowan boy.

  • his my hero too :D!!!!

  • he walks like a lesbian..HA>>LOL.

  • @RayRai8262 because that's so funny. Yeah you're the only one laughing. Idiot.

  • @RayRai8262 moron -.-

  • @RayRai8262 gtfo dumbass

  • Awesome young man.

  • Some Americans are opposed to gay marriage because gays are raising smarter kids than their own offspring and those same kids will be future leaders of our country.

  • @CrustyRim1 There simply is no way to trace the origin of hate, since it truly is an unnatural human emotion. To hate someone is bad enough. To try and "explain" why, is pathetic.

  • @multitalentino Stop reading your silly philosophy books, hate is not only a human condition, but can be found in the animal world as well and is quite natural among the great apes. On the other hand I was being sarcastic so there was no real reason to respond to your post other than me wanting to protect my fake internet persona.

  • @CrustyRim1 I never claimed that hate was unique to humans. It still is found in many people, although the individual origins may be different.

Where did your hate come from? Did your parents teach you, or did it come from Scripture?

Do you disagree with the speaker in this video? What exactly is your aim here? Do you want second class citizenship for gays to continue?

What part of equality offends you so much? Please explain. I'm sorry if I prejudged you. We'll see if I did.

  • @thursdaysrecords where is there any hate in anything I have said? I made a joke about how silly the whole gay marriage debate is, now I'm a hateful, homophobe who can't even tell a good joke. The joke was mainly a play on once a misconceptions about gay marriage is debunked they just come up with another stupid excuse.

  • @thursdaysrecords1 and I assume from your post we are from the same side, sarcasm just does not come across well in written form. Maybe I could put a goofy face after each line, ; >\

  • @CrustyRim1 the ignorance within my country comes from religious fuck tards and homophobic conservatives

  • religion... chrisitianity... hypocrisy.... all goes hand in hand. YAAAAAY for the good which this man represents and his fight for equal rights for his parents. If God or jesus ever existed and were standing in front of all who hate, they would smite you for your lack of intelligence and tolerance. GAY RIGHTS!!!!! :) xoxo

  • I am a Christian who follows Jesus' teaching to love thy neighbor, to those of you who say you are Christians and berate this young man, please pray for understanding.

  • pwned

  • I still don't understand how government has any control over rights for gay people. Like it has been said many times, there is supposed to be a seperation between church and state. When there are problems with gay people raising children, the problem usually occurs because of the close minded people who make it a problem. If there were no closeminded anti-gay buliles in schools, the chidren of these gay parents would not be tormented. It's not the gay people causing depression and anxiety.

  • @TheCrimsonAssasin

Your channel says your from Algeria and you have retarded stop motion videos as well? I suppose we should take what you say seriously. Yes, yes. You are an important person, indeed. ^_^

  • @HumaneAnon yeah... judge me by my videos and youtube profile rofl!! typical uneducated loser... how can anyone take YOU seriously if you make judgements based on such little and i might say untrue information...

  • "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." - Jesus, Gospel according to John, Chapter 8.

Before anyone from a Christian background berates me on a religious standpoint, let me first point this out and, in advance, implore them to remember this very important lesson taught by their (and my) very own Savior.

  • ....But he's wearing a purple shirt! The jurys still out on this one :P

  • @Ohloveeh I think you're color blind.

  • i respect his view but im still against gay marriage...

  • Comment removed

  • @MrGeekster007 umm can you explain?

  • @MrGeekster007 To be against something that doesn't directly affect you basically shows that deep down, your not a good person. And i'm sorry that you feel that way.

  • @SwordPlay2 that's a really flawed statement. I am against child abuse but child abuse does not affect me. Am I a bad person? I love this video btw.

  • I seriously don't see anybody's argument against gay marriage.

  • I really don't get why people can't accept others by who they are? Not what they're!!! In real life, I am not going to let anyone to make any type of judgments about my life or sexual orientation... The only person is going to make my final judgement will be God! Why I am going to get judge by other sinners??? It won't make sense, so I agree with marriage equality :-) I am proud to be Gay!!!

  • @kratoss1990 what evolution are you talking about?

  • I think the reason religion comes into it is more the sanctity of marriage... and what marriage really supposedly "means" ... ie. love between a man and a woman. Its like saying same sex couples arent able to feel love... this whole argument against same sex marriage is so stupid.

  • @Crazee108

they can love each other without getting married....

marriage is a church issue, not govt.

  • @acarlisl No it's not. The concept of marriage is not strictly affiliated with church. It also has more to do with the rights that couples get when they are married. Tax exemptions etc. You can get married outside of a church....

  • @acarlisl The idea of marriage is a celebration though... and marriage in a govt setting, provides ppl w/ certain benefits... eg. when buying a first house or setting up and account or whatever.

  • I am Catholic, but I believe in same sex marriage!

  • @KlutzieKong Then you're not a Catholic, you're somewhat rational.

  • @KlutzieKong surprise surprise. We already knew catholics supported gay marriage.

  • @MrDetwaa I am just stating what I believe. Plus many of them don't if you haven't read any comments below.

  • @MrDetwaa hahah no fuker, pedophiles are not the same as gays

  • @KlutzieKong me too

  • @KlutzieKong sorry to break it to you, but then you're not really a Catholic...

Great speech by a great kid!

  • @KlutzieKong

Congratulations? You are not a true Catholic then since this particular denomination, including the Catholic Church, strongly opposes same sex marriage. That is like saying I'm an atheist but I still believe in a God. Get informed.

  • My right ear is hearing an alien translate this.

  • @TheCanadianBuddha Hey uh what do you mean by this? you really heard an alien?

  • He's only 19 and he acts like a rare gentlemen in his 30s

  • wow...this is the first youtube video i cried while watching because i was so awestruck by his deep dedication to promoting justice and standing up for equal rights. One's sexual status does not condone them as a bad person...

  • @Veena0984 word. i got teary eyed for sure... so much conviction... and bravery... it was compelling.

  • @ksmurfer hey i know this is off topic, but u have kolaveri di on ur page :) so you are tamil or understand tamil? :) lol nice. i cant stop listening to that song. Anyways, yes back to this guy...hes amazing hey!

  • @kratoss1990 I think any couple willing to raise a child in a loving household is hardly abnormal. Just because it isn't "normal" doesn't mean it isn't right.

  • @kratoss1990 perhaps. I think it'd be better for a gay couple to raise a child than for the child to be an orphan. And your english is fine. Mein Deutsch ist sehr schlect.

  • @kratoss1990 obvious troll is obvious.

  • @kratoss1990 Did you not just watch the video or something? He scored in the 99th percentile in his ACTs, he's an eagle scout, he owns his own business, and he's going to college for engineering. How the fuck can you claim that his parents being two women has detracted from his growth and evolution as a member of society? A disease is something that has a negative effect on your state of being, like Multiple Sclerosis; being gay is about as far from being a disease as you are from being smart.

  • @kratoss1990 I have no issue with your learning issue, but what I do have an issue with is that you are uninformed.

  • @6149crystalclear not at all i know a lot about this and it s fact that when two mens adoped a child it s not good for mental evolution. i know that gay persons have some special gene what only gay people so it is an diseases and sorry im german i know my english is not the best. when it s possible to adopt a child .. so its pretty possible that this child gets big problems in their evolution you are the uniformed..

  • @kratoss1990 Show me the paper that proves this gene. Show me anything that isn't a religious blog that proves the existence of this gene. There is none. There is no scientific proof to date of what you claim.

  • @kratoss1990 du bist nicht informiert. du sahst das video, er ist so normal wie du bist; und er ist auch erfolgreicher als die meisten Menschen. er klar normal entwickelt geistig.

  • @kratoss1990 So you're arguing that we should also amend the Constitution to outlaw single parents?

  • awesome dude, but hero? hardly

  • What an inspiration!

  • Whats his sexual orientation?

  • @Sotoemed87 Does it matter?

  • @Sotoemed87 It is stated at least twice that he is a straight male raised by a gay couple.

  • @Sotoemed87 He's straight, but does it really matter?

  • Skip to 3:04 to find the interview.

  • @behold888 LOL

  • if i wanted to marry my consenting mother, what should stop me? if i was 40 and a consenting 16 year old wanted to marry me what should stop me?

  • @1Cecil1Spivey1 really? thats your argument ? that by having gay people marry somehow equates to incest... your no different then the morons who think allowing gays to marry means that people will marry dogs or toasters or something more retarded.

Being gay doesnt mean they wanna marry there dog or a toaster or rape little boys or whatever, it just means they wanna marry who the love, no different then you

  • @1Cecil1Spivey1 Wth are you talking about? Marrying your mother? A 40 yr old and 16 yr old together... you think either of those are ok or are in anyway similar to this discussion of gay marriage between 2 non-blood related, age appropriate consenting adults that happen to be of the same sex?

  • If you don't like gay marriage, don't get one.

  • If Hindus and Atheists can get married and that's ok with Christians in their "Christian Nation", then they should get their religion out of gay people's lives.

Or rather, their particular sect of christianity.

  • Comment removed

  • If God says my friend cannot marry who he wishes, than God is wrong.

  • Separation of Church and State. Ever heard of It?

  • @phillipscade1 Evere country should have it! USA are the worst and one of the best countries in the world. But some people there are so fucking small-minded...

  • Tears in my eyes watching this

  • @sylsam

with how many of you are fucking crying about this and saying he is awesome.....thats fine but it explains why we are getting shitty presidents voted in.

  • @Whatup5656 explain how you think he's wrong. knock yourself out, i'd love to hear it.

  • couldnt hear what he was saying in the begginning

  • @shellygal12 The sound only comes out of the left audio channel.

  • @scsitransfer thats why! hah my left ear phone doesnt work! hah thanks!

  • hammer gute rede!!!!

  • How can anyone even attempt counter this logical argument with "faith-based" anti-gay propaganda?

The problem with gay marriage equality is that there is no problem. If your faith demands your support of discrimination, question your faith.

  • @multitalentino The answer is there is no rational, logical counter argument. So it's sad that the people in control of our legislature would even consider such a law, let alone pass which they did. The discrimination and bigotry inherently grounded in anti-gay reasoning only reveals fear and ignorance.

  • @multitalentino, I can come up with propaganda though not "faith based". "It worked because he was raised by women, but what about MEN?" BTW I support gay marriage but I am just giving you an example of a anti-gay counter attempt...now all we need to find is someone raised by male gay parents LOL. Most homophobes don't mind lesbians..it is the MALE gays they have a problem with -_-

  • @multitalentino I respectfully disagree. In the Bible, book of John, chapter 8, about a woman is caught in adulteryThe people are readytostone her to death, but Jesus steps in and says "He who has no sin, cast the first stone." As a Christian, I do believe that Gay marriage is a sin, however I will never condemn someone for being gay. I am a sinner myself, I have no right to cast the first stone. Don't judge all Christians on what only a few are saying, most of them haven't read their own book.

  • @thinkthenscrewup Respectfully, lol.

  • @thinkthenscrewup when you say you think being gay is a "sin", you are painting homosexuals in a negative light, whether you say you're being "respectful" or not. The only reason you are Christian is because you were exposed to it during your life. If you were born in ancient Greece, you'd believe in Zeus and you'd think homosexuality was probably just fine. The fact that you see homosexuality as something negative (i.e. "sinful") solely based on your faith is both ignorant and unfortunate.

  • @TheFrygar Again, i disagree. And i don't think i got my point across. Being gay is a sin, but that doesn't mean gay people can't reap the benefits of heaven like androgynous people. God is only selective when it comes to believers and nonbelievers. Even if you are gay, murderer, adulterer, and thief you can still make it to heaven. God doesn't care as long as you believe in him. And i do think homosexuality is fine, i have close relatives that are gay and i love them just the same.

  • @thinkthenscrewup wait, then what happenned to the ten commandments? i thought that affected the afterlife so to speak.

  • @Azami4117 The Ten Commandments are things God wants you to do. They are guidelines and if you love God you will fallow them. And honestly most Christians do (fallow the commandments). You don't really hear about Christians mass murdering people or doing any other egregious acts in society. But in the end, God only cares if you love him, fallowing the commandments are just a way of showing it.

  • @thinkthenscrewup Right, so if you belief in god and sin (murder, theft, rape, all those things), you get to go to heaven, but if you're an atheist and are an amazing person who devotes everything to others, you're punished with an eternity in hell. Oh, such a fair, loving god! ¬¬

  • @TheFrygar I agree with you. I also think it's funny that sex is also technically a sin and people get along with that just fine. In orthadox Christianity, pretty much everyone is painted in a negative light unless they're pastors or something...but then they might be rapists, soooo...yeah :P

  • @thinkthenscrewup It wouldn't be fair to others if being gay is a sin. What? they get to burn in hell for being different? I hope you know most gays are gay because of their genetics. If god is saying that what he created is a sin, then why should gays fallow the commandments. I also don't hear about us Christians being mass murdering people. I mostly hear others calling us stuck up and we think we're better then everyone. I'm not the strongest Christian on the bible sorry to disappoint you.

  • @TheFrygar

    Well said!

  • @multitalentino Very well said.

  • @multitalentino None could have spoken it better :)

  • Could be my headphones.

  • When you listen clearly, can you hear a sound moving along his voice? It's a technical sound, electronical sound, a very weird sound. If you can't hear it, then I must be hearing things. Because I paused and unpaused until I could make sure that it was not from the background behind me. It's in the video. o.o

  • @chaserr120 Nnope, there is an electronic buzz from the PA system they would have been using
