Hagee and his followers are not interested in peace for the Middle East (as Hutchinson incorrectly claims at 3:45). He is rooting for war and Armageddon which he believes will result in the return of Jesus.
Hagee and his delusional beliefs are the antithesis of peace and the survival of humanity.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck brought up Obama's association with Rev.Wright on The View today. Got her TPM from Sean Hannity. She did not bring up McCain's association to Rev. Hagee. No shocking news here.
warrenpaine(down two messages), the reason that they are not going after McCain over this is that Obama still stands by his African Christian pastor at Trinity United Church of Christ which has many racial problems....that will soon be attacked. Look up the church and you will see what a racial conundrum the Louis Farrakhan embracing church is.
Just imagine if Barack Obama had said something along the lines of, "I don't agree with some of the things that Louis Farrakhan has said, but I'm still honored to have his support because he has done some very good things for Africa and the black community". Do you think the Newsmedia would have allowed Obama to get away with that response?
Why isn't John McCain held to the same moral standard as Barack Obama?
Jewish voters in New York State — including Democrats — could support Republican John McCain in the November election if Barack Obama wins his party's nomination, according to Fredric U. Dicker's "Inside Albany" column in the New York Post.
We should turn the world over to the barbarians and the druids and the visigoths. The cannibals and the infidels would do a much better job at killing everyone than the whacky religious people are doing.
Oh never mind, I saw your profile. Senility is a bastard, It's got my grandmother playing with dolls and drewling on herself. Please disregard my last comment and good luck to you.
Sen Hutchinson is soooooo weak. Every time I see her interviewed she spews some awkward robotic non-answers to any substantive questions. What she really said was: "John Hagee has a ton cultish followers that will vote. Because of that, we will allow him access to the whitehouse to spread his armageddon message....but dont worry, we really wont start World War III for him, we are just playing along for the votes! (wink)" He is calling for a nuclear war! Wiki him for yourself. Pure Evil.
Take a look at the demographics and psychographics of America and then decide who people will vote for, or against.
Christian people still are in the majority in America. Catholic and Protestant. White, bigoted, racist males still make up a large contingent of voters. White women are probably the largest voting block whether they be Christian or not.
Candidates take all this into consideration while they pander to the voters. This may be the last election where "Whitey" rules.
Don't you think Tamarlane that McCain has gone out of his way to pander to the lunatics of his party that it will now be impossible for him to attract anybody in the middle?
I see no difference in the candidates as far as trying to appeal to ALL constituancies at this point.
They will play to the audience, and the audience will be sequestered first here and then there. The gays, the atheists, the communists, the socialists, the women, the hispanics, the blacks, will all get their back rub from each of these three inconsequential candidates.
Actually since the Dems have gone down to the 2 candidates they have actually started reashing out to the middle.McCain can't even get his lunatic fringe to support him,ie Coulter,Limbaugh, the Dems base will support either of their candidates making it easier for them to reach the middle.Obama has been going for the middle throughout his campaign.
The phone commercial crossed the line but for the most part its been clean.Democrats realize that we are seldom united, but I really believe the great majority will vote for the nominee because we realize we can't take another of 4 years of Bush and thats all Mccain offers.
The reason why many Christians support Israel is that the Israeli Government allows Christians (& Muslims) to worship at their Holy Sites.
An Islamic state would NOT allow this. Many Islamic States have said as much. Israel has always allowed Christians access to their holy sites. it had been the Palestinians who have attacked Christians in the Holy cities. They have brought about their own alienation!
This is undeniable and has always been in the minds of many Christian clerics.
I've never used this language before, but what a cunt!
Why does it matter if the guy supports Israel or not? And why does it matter if he has a big congregation or not. The guy has said some very bad things about Catholicism, and McCain should not embrace his support.
The whole Farrakhan thing is such an illiterate, let's face it, Dumb argument. Who knows or cares who supports themselves in any endeavor. That's akin to asking an American Idol contestant if they reject the vote of Charles Manson.
Such a racist argument. OK Coulter(the mental case) and Limbaugh(the Dope Fiend) have both said they'd vote for Hillary, for whatever reason. Is she supposed to jump and renounce their support? Absolutely silly argument.
You got to stoop pretty darn low to endorse McCain. Even that Iseden lobbyist broad won't endorse him as she tells Drudge he was a wash out in the sack. But low and behold, that two-bit, dried up, sorry excuse of a Senator, Kave Baileys Hutchinson, recommends that the American people vote for McCain because Pastor John Hagees told her it was the righteous thing to do!
I swear these neocon women look like they've had some kind of human/reptile morphing procedure done, and it appears that they rummage through the old 'Star Trek' wardrobes for clothing.
Hagee is more pro-Israel than he is pro-Jesus or pro-Christian. The Zionists that got us into these wars (Podhoretz, Feith, etc) are backing McCain. If a Dem hopes to be pres, they'd better cater to Zionists.
tammylane, Yes you are correct sir. That is a lot but then again the comparison is from a Princeton grad with Harvard Law Degree(and Review) VS. a career military guy. A guy who came home by the way and divorced his long faithful and disabled wife, married a Beer Company heiress half his age and then had the audacity to cheat on her while cozying up to Charles Keating.
Now he's your typical Republican war mongering senile doddering fool.
This is your substantiation of your claim that Hussein has an 80 point IQ advantage over McCain?
Pretty funny.
And then you launch into some lurid accusations about McCain's personal life.
And you call HIM a typical Republican war mongering senile doddering fool.
Your comments have been noted.
I don't much like McCain, he is too liberal for me on certain very important topics. I did not come to defend McCain. I only commented on your rantings and ravings here.
basically what she is saying is since he is pro Israel, then it's ok to insult lord jesus Christ. otherwise, if it would've been obama, then he definitely is a terrorist anti Christ. well, this country is getting more fucked up day by day. thanks to AIPAC.
And where is that idea found, may I ask? "Separation of church and state" is found NOWHERE in the Constitution or any governing laws of our United States.
so, what are you saying vinsulation, that this country should be based on christian values, imposing their ideas on everyone?
just look at how the religious right has been a major force in dividing this country. by imposing their bullcrap and lies on everyone would result in another southern caused civil war. the feds prevailed, and slavery was ended to dismay of the south!
hmm, maybe a 2nd civil war is needed to either educate or outlaw bigoted so called southern "christians"!
It just goes to show you can offend a billion member church as long as you are a 'true friend' of Israel. Hagee is one of these end times nuts who believe that we need an Armageddon to usher in the Second Coming of Christ and the New Testament is not important to Christians.
That's the only reason these guys "support" Israel, specifically the Israeli far right -- because they think it'll lead to a nuclear showdown in the middle east and bring about the freaking "end times."
Yet it's the liberals and democraps that constantly bring up the race issue as if it was an issue at all!! Where's WHITE HISTORY MONTH, thank you very much?? Jessee Jackson and Al Sharpton are doing nothing but legitimizing black racism and creating a massive gulf between AMERICANS! Black, white, red, brown, yellow, purple, green, we're AMERICANS! Forget the "African," be a patriot and love YOUR country!!
There's no sense for Wolf to go after this woman for Hagee's comments or even her own. She is a zombie, whacked on prescription medication. She probably doesn't even know she's there. Her eyes are like two piss holes in the snow. She's gone.
McCain is an empty suit living off a legacy of simply being shot down while bombing women and children in N Vietnam. That's it!! No heroism, no 'saving the guys', just simply being shot down and captured. OK fine, but where's the beef.
Past that, he came home dumped his long faithful wife for a rich 'bimbo' half his age, then cheated on her, hitched up with Charles Keating and the boys and basically ridden the public dole ever since.
I'm hardly impressed. Now he wanders around in a fog. Woop.
What motivated McCain to seek John Hagee's endorsement in the first place was his recent book "Jerusalem Countdown," in which he argues that a confrontation with Iran is a necessary precondition for Armageddon and the Second Coming of Christ. In the best-selling book, Hagee insists that the United States must join Israel in a preemptive military strike against Iran to fulfill God's plan for both Israel and the West. And, for Kay, all war is good, plus, Hagee's church makes up her Texas base.
In 2000, John McCain referred to Jerry Falwell as an "agent of intolerance" and compared him to Louis Farrakhan. In 2006, McCain spoke at Liberty University. He began to sell out to the Religious Right years ago.
And now it's Hagee. He's so willing to pander to the votes of thousands of "Christian Zionists" he'll alienate *millions* of faithful Catholics.
This is making me think the Republicans desperately want to lose in November.
I'm also in Texas. After we get John Cornyn out and Rick Noriega in this November (we can only hope), we need to find someone who can run competently against Hutchinson. She just utterly humiliated herself.
What? All dissent is bigotry to your mind. I rather believe in real Christianity than claiming that a cookie is God. Forget the doctrines of the Catholic religion. That's free speech. Believing that a woman is an evervirgin or accepting Rosary beads isn't Christianity. That isn't degatory. That's reality. It's time more spoke out against this.
Im Catholic and this crap pisses me off big time! The Republican party as a whole will lose the support of the Catholics that have backed them in the past over this, mark my words! Im a life long Dem but I know many Republicans in my parish and at a get together after mass today many of them where saying McCain lost their respect and their vote because of this. Say good bye to the Christian
Hutchinson is in my district. She lost my vote in 2006 by refusing to support a crackdown on illegal immigrants. McCain and her seem like bosom buddies. Damn neo-cons fooled the mightiest state in the Union and it looks like a repeat. RON PAUL 2008!!
Anyone who is a follower of Christ has love for everyone as the center of his being. They don't spew hate...but sadly, this "Pastor" has. Obama was criticized for not denouncing Farrakhan - whose support he did not seek - strongly enough. So he denounced him more strongly, and still he was criticized. Here is McCain at a news conference with a hatemonger whose support he has sought, and whom he obviously respects. There should be outrage. Change is needed in America. Obama '08.
Right, Hutchinson, it's just fine to for Hagis to demonize 25% of American's as long as he's doing good work for a foreign power. That's some measuring stick you Republicans are using against your own fellow countrymen.
Wow, he's been "denouncing terrorism"? Amazing. I mean, who denounces terrorism, that's really something. And he's been helping Israel? Really? Like every other rapture cultist who is waiting for Israel to start the war the causes Armegeddon? Damn, he is a good guy after all. Thanks lizard lady.
What double standard bullsh!t. Hagee is at least as bad a bigot as Farrakhan, if not worse! The really horrible nature of this lies in the fact that Obama was NOT seeking the endorsement of Farrakhan, but McCain actively sought the endorsement of Hagge!
Really important point. This demonstrates the degree to which we accept the insanities of some of the right wing and some of the fundamentalists, when they are white. It would be great if we would start thinking more clearly about what is truly hateful and dangerous and what is simply different from what we're used to, or associated with something we have a prejudice toward.
Wow. That sounds quite principled. The heart of Republican campaigning: If shitting on a groups (gays, Blacks, immigrants, the poor, now Catholics) will help us win, then it is the right thing to do.
Hackery all around. Blitzer's failure to understand the different situations between Obama and McCain (or rather the lack of a situation on Obama's side) and Hutchinson's blatant political ass kissing.
She keeps calling it "political", and "not substantive".
The Catholic League is a Republican organization; Democrats aren't causing this. It's not political, Kay. It actually means something to them to be so severely insulted.
I think it's pretty dumb that they make such a big deal out of this stuff. I mean, if you say you don't agree with the guy, and you're not sitting there asking him to speak at your events, I don't see why you should be penalized for having his support. However, things also need to be fair, and since Obama was pressed so hard about the Louis Farrakhan bit, McCain needs to be pressed hard on this.
as much as i want to believe that... im very skeptical.. if john chooses Romney as a running mate he will be a hard to take down.. you and everyone you know needs to make sure that the go vote on NOV... you underestimate how many conservative are supporting mccain..

"I hope McCain gets put through the gutter like Barack Obama has with Farrakhan."
Obama has not got pulled through the gutter, you guys aint seen nothing yet. The Republican Attack Machine and the VRWC hasn't even geared up yet! We have a loooong way to go until November, there is still plenty of time to drag your Messiah through the gutter, and believe me, he will get swift-boated! All in due time...

Why do you say that so proudly? Kinda reflects character doesn't it?
"Why do you say that so proudly? Kinda reflects character doesn't it?"
Obama's an empty suit, and yet millions upon millions are flocking to him as a result of his "America needs change" rhetoric. The Republican Party will simply expose him for what he really is.
So of course that reflects our character. The character that in order to win an election, your going to need to have substance, not just 'hope and change'.
If you think I'm here to defend George Bush, you are mistaken. Is George running for a third term? Hardly.
John McCain has earned the title and reputation of being a Liberal and a Maverick because he doesn't toe the party line, so it's kind of hard for you to make the case that him running for president would simply be a continuation of Bush's policies.
Sen. McCain himself has said he's going to continue the Bush Policies. Let's see ... were' going to continue the war, Bomb Iran and he doesn't know anything about the economy. He's got a bad temper and is known to snap. On top of that he's 300 years old. He's a good guy I'm sure but he's no president. Sorry but I'm not towing the company line for this dude.
cult, Empty suit? Hardly. Obama has a good 80 IQ points over doddering McCain. I think over the past 8 years one thing we've learned for certain is that we cannot afford to let sub par intelligence 'run the strongest country in the world'.
The sheer ignorance and audacity of small minded political hacks like Cheney and his lapdog Bush exemplify what harm can come from the US cowering under the imagined threat of 'Invasion' from third world countries. Sell it to the paranoid neocons.
tammylane, Yes you are correct sir. That is a lot but then again the comparison is from a Princeton grad with Harvard Law Degree(and Review) VS. a career military guy. Now he's your typical Republican war mongering senile doddering fool.
Tamarlane, the IQ thing is rather silly but if McCain does't denounce this racist religious bigot then he truely has sold his soul to the extreme right wing lunatics which makes him un-electable.I have some republican friends who like me are Catholic and he's turned them into democrats this time around because of the Hagee endorsement.
Maybe so but anything is better then what we have now old friend. You know I lean left of center.but I could have supported the maverick McCain in 2000.This older version is going so far to the right he's around the bend.
Back in 2000 he was for bringing down the debt, which means no wealthy expensive tax cuts,he was for campaign finance reform,he reputiated the right wing hate mongers like Bob Jones, now he goes there to speak. He was much more moderate in 2000 now he sounds like a total idealogue. Now he even wants to stay in Iraq for 1000 years,he's totally sold out to the extreme right and you know it.
yeah, culturewar, what you really mean is the republican party will "swiftboat" (another word for republican lies) obama for what you want america to think he is.
watch out this time, most americans are sick and tired of your republican lie tactics, it may just blow up in your face and you might permanently become the party of only the religious right like hagee, robertson, dobson, haggart, swaggart, baker and the like.
"Obama's an empty suit, and yet millions upon millions are flocking to him as a result of his "America needs change" rhetoric. The Republican Party will simply expose him for what he really is."
its one thing to debate Obama and call him on policy. the gutter dragging that Republicans so endear is of personality smearing and false rhetoric. Crap like "he is a muslim, thereby a terrorist" is the kinda "constructive criticism" that the Republicans offer. Thats the real Republican smear machine.
I notice you put quotes here. Please show me your source. And remember, Hillary is the one who is attempting to install doubt in the minds of the voters. Her campaign released the photos of Obama in the native Kenya outfit, and then on 60 minutes said "Obama is not a muslim...As far as I know."
The only attacks I've seen coming from Republicans have been viable ones, like his connections to Farrakhan and his attendance of a Black Sepaerationist church.
You are a liar and a religious bigot,so shut the hell up and wait for the rupture er rapture you braindead fucktard.Maybe you can go with Hagee and SWaggart and they can find you a prostitute.
"The only attacks I've seen coming from Republicans have been viable ones, like his connections to Farrakhan and his attendance of a Black Sepaerationist church."
Republicans have jumped on the Obama=muslim bandwagon. Bill Cunningham and FOX(madrasa?) news are potent instruments of the Republican propaganda machine. They started. As for McCain denouncing Bill but embracing Hagee, kinda seems hypocritical to me, as both are ethnocentrics.
"The only attacks I've seen coming from Republicans have been viable ones, like his connections to Farrakhan and his attendance of a Black Sepaerationist church."
As for Repub smear machine attacking only viable topics: Farrakhan wasn't a viable argument. Obama never solicited the support...and denounced/rejected the support as soon as he heard about it. Can't say the same for McCain.
"The only attacks I've seen coming from Republicans have been viable ones, like his connections to Farrakhan and his attendance of a Black Sepaerationist church"
As for his "Black Separationist" church, that's bs. It takes more than critical analysis from Fox news to determine a church to be separationist...especially when the church says its clearly not. Why would Obama outright reject the Farrakhan's support when as prominent a separationist as the pastor try to endorse him?
its probably factual. I was just referring to the statement "...WE have a loooong way to go until November, there is still plenty of time to drag your Messiah through the gutter..."
the "WE" just seemed boastful, kinda like "we gonna get you, you ain't seen nothing yet"
as for factual, i didn't get what you were saying.
bullshit, bullshit, bullshit. what happened to john mccain? he used to rebel against other republicans but now that he is their nominee he doesnt give a shit. hypocrite. obama will win the presidency.
Okay, so Hagee has attacked the Catholic church...yet no mention of what kinds of things he has said about Muslims? No mention of his support for war on Iran to prompt the second coming? Nice job touching this issue with a ten foot pole.
so what, he supports Israel. that doesn't make his comments acceptable. what he he said is just as bad as what Farakhan has said. Dont you think there is a double standard against muslims?
This Kay woman, from her logic, does that mean just because hagee is proIsra, derogatory comments towards Catholicism are irrelevant, and thus the framework for its discussion ought to be political? Hagee's remarks were pretty harsh; if he were to criticize Judaism or Islam the same way, he'd be crucified or otherwise have his tongue confiscated.
Many think that John McCain is the Manchurian Candidate and will say anything and do anything to be elected. By the way Wufus Blitzkrieger; What you must do to keep your job!!??
So there's one level of expectations for Obama, and not one that McCain has to adhere to. Typical. And the media is mostly just letting him get away with this. Like how McCain is bending to the point of breaking, FEC rules, but then falling behind the narrative that is actually not true, that Obama has to take the Federal funds. He only said "aggressively pursue." But that point is lost in agreeing with McCain's falsehoods that Obama promised to do it.
how many more of our American soldiers do we have to lose for Israel? Yes, they have the right to exist - they're a sovereign nation, and we have to let them do what they want. Hagee is whats WRONG for Israel, therefore so is McCain. What Kay said is predictable.
Wolf, don't you think the whole Christian faith a zombie worshipping fairy tale. Come clean you atheists, you hate Republicans and nothing they say will win your vote. You want the Republican party to splinter even more. You are the judgmental anti theists, not John Hagee.
dingorex, you don't like "veiled christian bashing"? i love it when so called "christians" like you, who've been "bashing" everyone who does'ot follow your backward, bigoted, hateful beliefs cry "foul" when you're rightfully bashed & put in your place.
you're "christians" practices are anti-christ, & have been perhaps since his birth. you spread hate & fear, & spend your damned time waiting for death.
"bashing", give me a break, STOP YOUR goddamned bashing first you "christian" ass!
I cannot believe a senator defended that gluttonous pig. I guess that makes her a WHORE like Hagee has called the Catholic church. Yes, they've got problems, but that's judging them to call the church that.
HAGEE AT SUNDAY SERVICE ---- "I'M CUTTING BACK FOR LENT AS YOU ALL KNOW, AND THIS MORNING I ONLY ATE TWO WHOLE HAMS SMOTHERED IN GRAVY!"
Hagee has called for an all out war against Muslims also - I watched the service where he did it!
VILE warmonger who should not be looked up to at all.
KAY you pathetic whore - to DEFEND a man that has said the shit that fat boy Hagee has said, and say McCain shouldn't repudiate the gluttonous Hagee for his hate-mongering.
Hagee is very judgmental, anti-gay, anti-catholic, and loves food like a pig loves squalor.
Wow, this is amazing. Sen. Hutchin is trying to defend Hagee, and it's not working! American has changed to the degree that what these wingnuts have to say may no longer be acceptable for a politician to publicly be allied with. I think McCain did the right thing with the radio host but he is clearly getting the wrong advice on how to deal with Hagee. The political tectonic plates of the American electorate are shifting...
We're all waiting for that ol' drag queen, Ken Baileys Hutchinson, to get caught by the Vice Squad going down on Pastor Hagee in a bathroom stall at the Dallas Ft. Worth Airport. That's how right wingers end their careers in this country.
You know Kay, Farrakhan has done some good things, too - it's the EXACT kind of analogy. McCain doesn't give 2 shits if hate-filled people like this pastor give him his support along with his followers.
Many people in the rest of the world look at Israel basically as the 51th state of the USA since a long time. If you look f.ex. at important votes at the UN: Israel and the US always vote the same way a

Monday, March 3, 2008
Jewish voters in New York State — including Democrats — could support Republican John McCain in the November election if Barack Obama wins his party's nomination, according to Fredric U. Dicker's "Inside Albany" column in the New York Post.

Past that, he came home dumped his long faithful wife for a rich 'bimbo' half his age, then cheated on her, hitched up with Charles Keating and the boys and basically ridden the public dole ever since.
I'm hardly impressed. Now he wanders around in a fog. Woop.
shaire99 3 years ago 3
What motivated McCain to seek John Hagee's endorsement in the first place was his recent book "Jerusalem Countdown," in which he argues that a confrontation with Iran is a necessary precondition for Armageddon and the Second Coming of Christ. In the best-selling book, Hagee insists that the United States must join Israel in a preemptive military strike against Iran to fulfill God's plan for both Israel and the West. And, for Kay, all war is good, plus, Hagee's church makes up her Texas base.

flyingbird0214 3 years ago
In 2000, John McCain referred to Jerry Falwell as an "agent of intolerance" and compared him to Louis Farrakhan. In 2006, McCain spoke at Liberty University. He began to sell out to the Religious Right years ago.
And now it's Hagee. He's so willing to pander to the votes of thousands of "Christian Zionists" he'll alienate *millions* of faithful Catholics.
This is making me think the Republicans desperately want to lose in November.

its one thing to debate Obama and call him on policy. the gutter dragging that Republicans so endear is of personality smearing and false rhetoric. Crap like "he is a muslim, thereby a terrorist" is the kinda "constructive criticism" that the Republicans offer. Thats the real Republican smear machine.
arsh89 3 years ago
"he is a muslim, thereby a terrorist"
I notice you put quotes here. Please show me your source. And remember, Hillary is the one who is attempting to install doubt in the minds of the voters. Her campaign released the photos of Obama in the native Kenya outfit, and then on 60 minutes said "Obama is not a muslim...As far as I know."

As for McCain denouncing Bill but embracing Hagee, kinda seems hypocritical to me, as both are ethnocentrics.
arsh89 3 years ago
"The only attacks I've seen coming from Republicans have been viable ones, like his connections to Farrakhan and his attendance of a Black Sepaerationist church."
As for Repub smear machine attacking only viable topics: Farrakhan wasn't a viable argument. Obama never solicited the support...and denounced/rejected the support as soon as he heard about it. Can't say the same for McCain.
arsh89 3 years ago 2
"The only attacks I've seen coming from Republicans have been viable ones, like his connections to Farrakhan and his attendance of a Black Sepaerationist church"
As for his "Black Separationist" church, that's bs. It takes more than critical analysis from Fox news to determine a church to be separationist...especially when the church says its clearly not. Why would Obama outright reject the Farrakhan's support when as prominent a separationist as the pastor try to endorse him?

So there's one level of expectations for Obama, and not one that McCain has to adhere to. Typical. And the media is mostly just letting him get away with this. Like how McCain is bending to the point of breaking, FEC rules, but then falling behind the narrative that is actually not true, that Obama has to take the Federal funds. He only said "aggressively pursue." But that point is lost in agreeing with McCain's falsehoods that Obama promised to do it.

John McCain is a whore for taking money from people like that, even if he is just bashing one of the biggest religious sects.

You know Kay, Farrakhan has done some good things, too - it's the EXACT kind of analogy. McCain doesn't give 2 shits if hate-filled people like this pastor give him his support along with his followers.

Hey Kay WE DO NOT LIVE IN ISRAEL!!!!! I am so sick of elected officials having more support for Israel than the people in our own country.

Many people in the rest of the world look at Israel basically as the 51th state of the USA since a long time. If you look f.ex. at important votes at the UN: Israel and the US always vote the same way a
