The Ovechkin pick was a joke when greats like Ray Bourque and Nik Lidstrim were not mentioned. In fact on the date you did the video there are probably 30-40 guys better than Alex then and Sidney might have cracked the top 20 at best during this time frame.

Mess has 6 cups, two hart trophies, a Conn Smythe- two Lester B. Pearson awards. 2nd all time in points, second all time in playoff scoring, 7th in goals.......

In fact it is not possible to compare players through decades. No offense, I like WG, but score 92 goals in one season is not possible in today NHL, look goalies in 80s and now, also hockey was not so good like today. It was canadian/american league, today plays best of world players in the league and I guess half of 80s players would be benchwarmers today. Thats why Art Ross was held 10 times by European players from 1990.

I guess TOP10 of all time should accept some USSR players of 70-80s

Ovechkin could possibly go down as the ebst Left Winger to over play the game granted he doesnt put up seasons like he did this year and even then his only close competition at elft wing is Bobby hull & Robitaille Ovechkin beat his goal scoring record for a left winger in a season.
