  • beautiful plane! Are there still ANY flying anywhere in the world?

  • @drmartyn The RAF still operate them, untill 2016, when teh A330-MRTT will replace them, and Las Vegas Sand Corps fly one

  • I flew in one onf these some time ago they r my fave plane :D

am in the army btw haha nice vid

  • if it was fog

how come they didn't use ils?? are the tristars not equipped with them?

  • The rvr was probably below operational minimums so they had to divert.

  • cheers this is what i hope to fly because i cant be a fast jet pil;ot because i wear glasses but i can in the navy

    its stupid

  • @oly720man I know you replied 3 years ago. But operation minimals for the RAF not the aircraft because both the Trident and Tristar were both capable and certified for 0/0 landings

  • when i was on 216, if brize norton was fogbound we always used manchester as our first diversion airfield

  • @woody352sqn The tristar is equipped with the worlds best ILS

  • i used to work on 216 sqn for 4 and half years so seeing this video puts a special memory in my heart. i was cabin crew and what a lovely aircraft to work on.

  • Bit of history. Are there any still in service with The R.A.F.? Thanks for sharing.

  • Yes, quite a few. They are used for troop carrying, freight and air to air refuelling.

  • good video 5 stars :)

  • Cool. Went on one of those with British Airtours in the 80's. It was called 'Swansea Bay'.
