  • Just watching this is therapeutic. I need a nap now.

  • yjis is what is keeping me going right now....

  • very nice~~

    where r u from ~!

    i need u massage~

  • any thai massage places in eastern PA ?

  • what kind of mat are you using?

  • @jellovero It's Lotus Palm's Thai Massage Mat, at lotuspalm(dot)com. I have tried many different types of mats, and this is still the best: stable, level, comfortable for the client and protects the practitioner's knees.

  • I am envious of your skill! I just started massage school and fell in love with Thai! you motivate me! <3

  • @XoxAnastaziaXox practice practice practice!

  • This must be nice for the massager as well as the massagee. Its like a ritualized dance, how nice.

  • @DeadlyChinchilla It is! While working, I'm also assuming stable yoga postures, and constantly rocking - which transfers my body weight, but also the motion transfers to the recipient, so it is very calming for both our nervous systems

  • Can you tell me who is the music by? wonderful rhythm.

  • @leggislou "Pranafestation" by Desert Dwellers

  • very good! look also under relaxingart/Thai-Yoga

  • looks good.nice flip. lotus palm school?

  • @loveisthelaw20042004 you know it!

  • lol yo wats the song name

  • would you recomend thai massage for somebody like me who suffer from sciatica ?

  • @ninibestiole i would. The passive stretching and mobilizations may help alleviate the symptoms and, *depending on what's causing your sciatica* possibly clear it. the rocking motion also helps to soothe the nervous system (which can be pretty fried if you're living in pain). be sure to discuss your condition with the therapist, and if you have any imaging reports (MRI, etc), that's helpful too.

  • @GoldenThaiYoga thanks sooo much ^^ I have full imaging reports as I've been suffering for 2 years now with ups and downs unfortunatly more downs periods . And you're right the nervous system is quite a mess after all this time . It's a friend of mine who talked to me about thai massage and I'm happy that you agree with her too ^^

  • @ninibestiole your friend is wise ;-)

  • @GoldenThaiYoga thank you for her ^^

  • If the world had 50 Stephanie Goldens, I think there would be world peace :)

  • @wiggalama That's funny, my Thai massage master, Kam Thye Chow, often says that if everyone could give the gift of skilled, compassionate touch to one other person, we would have world peace, "Thai massage can change the world!" :-)

  • how long did it take you to learn this

  • @ModBeatnikGirl Hi, thanks for asking. I did these videos after having taken 3x 5-day classes and umpteen practices following each. It's surprisingly easy to learn, that's one of the beautiful things about Thai massage, and learning continues the rest of one's life. xoxo -s.

  • @GoldenThaiYoga okay, thanks so much!

  • Doué d'une grande vitalité :)

    «L'essayer c'est l'adopter.»!!!!

    Vive Goldenthaiyoga !!!!

    Bravo!!!

  • hmmmmmmmm... the music is so relaxing.^_^'

  • Nice transitions but what about the sin sib lines. I've trained I Thailand for 4 years and have studied alot about energy lines the problem with massage taught in the states is that they just go through the moves and they really don't understand Thai massage.

  • @billshands

Thanks for your comment, I can only answer for myself, not the States - and besides, I'm in Canada (lol)

This is a "demo", to show what Thai massage looks like, basically. (Can you imagine how dull it would be to watch Sen line work? Not good video effect)

Second, in every posture the sen lines are being worked. Any time you palm/thumb/step, etc) it is along a sen line. In a complete massage, the work follows the lines, in a video, we go for the wow effect ;-)

    with metta,

    -s.

  • Love your transitions and dance! I use this initial transition. Many thanks. This video inspired our Thai Massage collective, we created a transition from prone to supine, check out our vid. metta

  • @dannyappleseedz

I tried it! Love it! Definitely a fun flip, thank you!

  • xclnt! Run with it!

  • I also do thai massage. I am so happy to see it done so well. Your dance is so well intergrated. Gratitude.

  • Thank you all for your compliments! PracticePracticePractice...

    Congrats for this post,

    Greetings from Romania.

  • fantastic .. we need more plz

  • What gets taught to students in a beginners yoga class. Im looking to increase my flexibilty to the amount of weight lifting I do. I want more flexibilty and mobility in muscles.

  • hi

your comment is on a Thai massage video, so to answer your question about yoga:

in a beginner yoga class (active, unassisted stretching), you can expect to be told exactly where to place which hand and foot, all details down to finger positions. the instructor comes around to correct & help you. yoga forms vary mainly by the postures ("asana") in a sequence, duration each posture is held, breathing techniques, etc.

Thai massage is passive, assisted yoga; you are being stretched.

  • Personally, I think receiving a Thai massage is a good way to become aware of what muscles are tight, what limitations you may have, or wish to work on. Nearly every client that comes to me says "let me warn you, i am SO not flexible". "Not flexible" is not the same thing as simply needing a good stretch :-)

Master Duncan Wong says, Thai massage is yoga prep, yoga is martial arts prep.

  • Thank You. I cant wait to take advantage of the many healing benefits yoga provides...not to mention better love making

  • lol - don' even go there, i got a man ...& nothin' to do with you, before you go there too ;-)

  • great song

    amazing massage

  • thank you!

    -s.

  • this *is* a performance, it is a demonstration of various postures, before a camera. also, my recipient is also an exceptionally flexible yoga instructor who studied Thai massage at the same school as I did, so she pretty much knows what to expect. withing an actual "healing" setting, the postures, pace and intensity are selected & customized according to the person's physical and doshic constitutions. thank you for your comment!

  • is this for the recipient or the therapist?

  • and to answer your question, it is as healing for the giver as the receiver. the "steady stances' assumes are also yoga stances (warrior, pidgeon, etc), and the constant rocking motions have a soothing effect on both individuals' nervous system.

  • wow

  • Know of any place like this in Toronto?

  • This part of rub feet is the best...

  • you are awesome

  • Totally beautiful! - thanks for sharing! - Kumari

  • Thanks J,

Thai massage is dynamic, gotta keep it moving! Now, if I were working on a lithe body type who tends toward nervousness and anxiety, I would slow it waaaay down! But for someone more heavyset, who tends towards lethargy - falls asleep the moment they hit the mat - then it would be a fairly quick pace.

In this case, you are right: my customer is the video camera and I'm catering to the short attention span, so I had to keep it quick and brief ;-)

  • Ah, see, that I can understand a little better - after all, youtube has a Lot of other stuff to watch. Then again I myself watch stuff like this to learn/shut my mind off before sleep.

You moved like liquid, BTW. Really like how do you massage!

  • Your feet are wonderful in this clip.

  • seems a little rushed, but im sure thats just cause this was for learning purpose

    Great technique and lovely video!

  • very nice video.music was great.and the presentation was great too.very creative.

  • I just completed level 1 Lotus Palm training with Sky. This is a beautiful video, beautiful music, beautiful metta :). I look forward to learning that flip! :D

  • Hi kemilyna,

Thank you, & I hope you had a great class!

Psst! Check out Lotus Palm's YouTube channel "ThaiYogaMassage" I think you'll like our latest video ;-)

    With metta,

  • Oooo! Thank you! I do like it. :D And I've subscribed to both channels.

  • WOW I WANT A GO

  • this is poetry in motion... very nice.

  • I am so impressed! I am a massage therapist in Cape Cod MA... I love your energy and fluidity of movements!!

  • thank you! that is truly what the Lotus Palm School's methodology is about: fluid transitions and effortless postures, good intention and loving-kindness. Namaste.

  • nice moves! stephanie
