Not a fan of Juicy Couture? I wouldn't recommend Couture Couture, maybe Viva La Juicy but mainly the brand's namesake. Flora by Gucci and Burberry Touch for Women are fab. Also, Poppy Flower and Poppy by Coach are great.

Flowerbomb Extreme EDP is my favourite fragrance of all freaking time. My aunt was visiting and kindly gave it to me, this stuff literally does not wear off until you shower or wash the clothes you were wearing, it lasts for so long!

Sucks that Dior doesnt have enough fan-appreciation to keep things the way they are. But if you look in to it, this is so common. It makes it hard to even commit to saying that you love a perfume because chances are it will be different within a couple years. And this is in part due to the excessive regulations being put on the perfume industy. Anyway! I highly recommend you check out Si by Lolita Lempicka. Im not sure if you will like it but its my all time favorite. And the bottle is amazing.

As you, I do swear by "Ms.Dior Cherie" but last year, I purchased "Éclat D'Arpege" by Lanvin and have received so much attention due to this fragrance! It is quite fresh smelling like lemons initially, but as you go through the day you will smell, Amber, Lilac, and to me, I smell Vanilla but I don't believe it is in the perfume. I think you would love it!!!

You have some very nice perfumes and they represent a fairly substantial investment. While they look lovely on the tray, light and warmth are enemies of the oils and other components that make up each one. They will hold their true scents much longer if you store them in a cool, dark place where sunlight can't get at them.

I understand your anger towards Dior re Miss Dior cherie. It has been my signature scent since its 2005 release, I went through the confusion and disappointment when I repurchased it (having used up my huge stash) and found it to be completely different, then reading blog posts that's Dior had commited the ultimate sacrilege by renaming it Miss Dior and reformulating it. I feel like I lost part of my identity. IThis would never have happened if John Galliano was still there.

It's so funny how perfums smell different according to who is smelling them. I love my Parisienne, and cannot detect any cranberry in there! I agree on the floral summery notes though. Very nice perfume collection you have!

If you like sweet gourmandish fragrances try Serge Lutens Un bois Vanille...a mainly vanilla fragrance really well blended with coconut and sandalwood. Creamy, sweet but not like an edible muffin..no, serge lutens is a top line perfumery line and it's fragrances are all super elegant and well balanced

They also are a good place to find some hard to find scents (like my favorite Les Néréides opoponax). For classic scents which boutiques often refuse to have testers of (It's old, everyone knows what it smells like./ No, I don't. If I did, I wouldn't ask!), try The Perfumed Court..

I have a recommendation! I know you said you aren't a fan of men's fragrances because they smell the same, but I think you'd like versace eau fraiche. The blue bottle with ridges along the side. It smells fresh and a bit sweet and doesn't have the musky smell that men's fragrances usually have. Grab a sample! :)

@sobazaar It's not because it's Britney Spears or Elizabeth Arden, it's because although the fragrance is nice it's very synthetic smelling and doesn't have the markings of luxury perfume ingredients. It smells very cheaply mass produced like a fragrance in a shampoo or shower gel.

Is there ever a time where you would recommend putting a fragrance on your clothing rather than your skin?

@nixish Well you can do what ever you choose. The scent won't evolve or last the same if it isn't on the skin but I've often been known to spray perfume on my scarf, it's comforting especially in the cold weather. Fragrance sticks to the skin so one occasion wearing it on your clothing might be necessary is if you wanted to change fragrance in the day & didn't have time to wash the old one off, you could simply change clothes without fear of the two scents mixing. It's really up to you though. x
