The opening is way too wide, the attacker can simply grab hold of you and force you to open. Other than that I love it, they should setup a way to control how wide the door will open. I don't want it big enough where they can put their whole arm through what the hell were they thinking ?

Take a look at lockace. It is secured to the door TRIM which is secured by small four penny headless finish nails to the jamb. An illusion!

@leetfergie Look at all competitors to the LineBacker. They all show the door being restrained but where were the latches deployed when the door was shock loaded ? The latches penetrate into the jamb at the at the strike plate. The door cannot flex that much without damage to either the door or the jamb. Check out the LineBacker video to see what happens to the jamb or the door if it flexes... In my view these are not honest depictions of actual conditions!

Let's say you run out and forget to completely close the door, and it is in the partially opened position for pet access. Can someone use a small drill or screw driver to put his had through the opening and unscrew the bolts from the wall?

@85nikki96 sorry it took so long to reply. You cannot deploy this from outside. It is for protection from home invaders or strangers who would ring the bell then force their way in. it is also supreme security at night when you are in bed.

@dattdude87 Check again dattdude, You can't open the door even if you pick the lock because the Linebacker is tight against the door and can't be released from the outside. Does dattdude have an attitude?

What if the guy unscrews the bar with a quick drill? There should be a safety cover for screw heads. Let's say the intruder is breaking in while you sleep, unlocks the door by pick then unscrews the the bar off...?

And how do you get a screwdriver inside while the door is closed? and if you've opened it with the bar articulated for opening for inspection you' must be awake and there to make sure the screwdriver can be knocked away or taken away.
