I absolutely love this video. I'm working on doing a full solo cover of this song, and your video has taught me what tabs and chord sheets could not. I think it should be worth money to see this video. You're a fantastic teacher- keep making these videos!
I just wish a few of these people that tell you how wrong/bad you are would throw a vid up with the RIGHT way to play it. I see many comments but I don't see anyone teaching it better. Not many people walk you through a song like you do.
i dont care how anyone plays it but this is my favorite cause it sounds good and your using chords that actually take skill most of these people write nasty coments cuz they probally dont know how to play half those chords because they us gay bar chords or just use strummer chords
you're playing the song wrong, why don't you stop talking just play the whole song,singing instead , just you and your guitar ,voice and chords , at the same time
@yerkil28 Although I'm glad that you're at the level where it's easy, there are some people out there, (myself included, when I first started playing guitar) that find it easier with auditory instructions in addition to the visuals. I'm just trying to encompass a broad range of listeners/viewers. Thank you for the feedback - Rock on
@LuisWahWah Hey I missed some of the fingerings on the chords in the chorus and its driving me nuts. Could you maybe do a tab? That would be very helpful. I love your channel by the way. We have very similar opinions on music :)
you play it differently from dean deleo but thnx to your lesson i was able to put 2 and 2 together and figure out how dean plays it acoustically. i'll be playing dean's version but thank you for breaking it down. cool lesson
@LuisWahWah i'm not sure about the studio or live version, but if you youtube "STP acoustic sour girl" with the one he's playing in the radio station with just dean, the intro is played on the 5th fret on the 5th and 4th string (D and G) then 7th and 8th fret on the 5th and 4th string as well.
@LuisWahWah i made a mistake with that, it starts 4 and 5th string 5th fret, then 4th string 5th fret with 5th string 7th fret, then 4th string 5th fret with 5th string 8th fret. play around in that area and i'm sure you'll get it. there's a bit more to that intro riff but it would take too long to type and explain hehe. its on the 6 string 7 and 8th fret then he goes into bar chord F to a G

I hate to criticize your playing, but I do believe this song is played differently. I would suggest looking up the correct playing.
Also, you should probably post your own cover before dissing someone else's.

dude, nice lesson, but i don't know if it's just me or i'm full of shit or something, but i hear and play the intro a little different.
like instead of what you play, for example, my 4th and 5th notes are g string on air, and b on 1st fret, and i think it sounds just like the recording
try it and see if you like it like that.
