Bo Rai Cho is a play on words, its a pun on Boracho which means drunkard in Spanish. There are many spanish puns in Mortal Kombat, for example in MK3 Sub Zero yelled "El Hielo" when he created ice clones, 'el hielo' means 'the ice' in Spanish.

Also the character Mavado is a play on words on 'Malvado' which means 'evil one' in Spanish.
