This is not a Serbian song. Goran Bregovic is half Croat and Half Serb from Bosnia and Hercegovina. There is another version of the song by the band "Bijelo Dugme" which is composed of Croats, Serbs and Muslims all from Bosnia and Hercegovina. This is a song from ex-Jugoslavija.
Orkestar u pozadini,on u bijelom smokingu.goran je obican lopov i kradljivac
I'm Polish. This song is like sound of soul in Slovian heart. Check this: Michal Lorenc Taniec Eleny or Michal Lorenc Mro Ilo. Bregovic was a perfect student of Michal Lorenc
@zumbazumba1 idiot .. this is gypsy music form serbia .. serbian gypsies like in guca and they live in Serbia , so ? also they made it later in hounour of Serbian ppl .. only croats can be stupid to comment like this .I. Slavonija is Serbia !
@chaosknight95 gypsies dont have states to live but their gypsie identity. they travel, they are nomads. thats why ederlezi doesnt belong to any countries but to gypsies. also, do you know what is "ederlezi"? it is a turkish festival.
@monroekissedme nope its not turkish festival.. it is festival on begining of spring in bulgaria and serbia .. nothing connected to turkey .. its on 6 may if you want to know..
@chaosknight95 it means that serbians celebrate the festival because ottomans did, but you do it on christian terms; the etymology of ederlezi is: muslim prophets of hıdır and ilyas, hıdırilyas, hıdrellez, ederlezi
@chaosknight95 the name "ederlezi" comes from the turkish word "hıdrellez", which comes from muslim prophets, "hıdır" and "ilyas"(elyessa). This is the fact. and it is not arguable.
@monroekissedme an one more thing goran bgerovic made this song with lyrics on greek , polish , and bulgarian ... also one bulgarian band made another version on bulgarion .. the song is mainly from serb gypsies .. they sang it on festival in 6th may every year for the coming of spring .. at that time it was serbian holyday djurdjevdan so goran bregovic made a version on serbian called djurdjevdan ..
