There is no excuse for Ray to be living in this house after marrrying Donna. His wife used to be married to multi-millionaire and former Texas Governor Sam Culver. She herself was filthy rich after inheriting part of Sam's estate. At this point, Ray had yet to inherit the $10 million trust or 10% of Ewing Oil that Jock left him, but he made good money as foreman of SF - a huge cattle ranch worth millions and had access to millions of dollars in the trust he shared with his brothers. What a dump!
