  • Me and my fiancee have hit some relationship troubles, but this song makes me optimistic and because of Mr. Wonder, I know things are gonna get better. Thanks you Stevie, for saying everything I feel better than I could ever articulate

  • This song is so mellow , i love it <3 It played on the tv sitcom "Good Times" and i fell in love w| it :)

  • There's not one song by Stevie that I can bring myself to dislike dammit.

  • Stevie Wonder is brilliant .

  • Nice for a wedding song no matter how long its taken to be with the right one this song is very complete! In my mind you will stay here always!

  • Opposite really are not compatible but you and I, you and I can conquer the world!

  • I want this to be my wedding song...

  • definitely my favorite Stevie song....just beautiful <333

  • Love this song. It's even better live! Come back to the 'A' Stevie!!! This will indefinitely be my wedding song! Someday.

  • I used to think this was going to be my wedding song but since then I've been totally soured to the idea of relationships. Let alone marriage.

  • @zuneloader You chose a gorgeous song for your future wedding, which I know WILL happen. It sounds like you had your heart broken, but you will find (when you least expect it) that the heart is a powerful and resilient organ. Best to you always.

  • @craigaa52 Thank you very much. I'm jaded yet somehow I remain eternally optimistic.

  • @zuneloader tell me about it

  • This song makes me wanna cry. I'm glad to be giving my mother away at her wedding to this song. :') This song is very beautiful.

  • I got the I... Now I just gotta find the you.

  • ORIGinaL CAN NEver BE DUBBED remember that

  • Between 1970 and 1977 I bought all the records that came out from Stevie. It pulled me through bad times (such as highschool and time spent with the wrong girls and trouble with my parents etc.) Stevie saved my soul BIG TIME. The guy is brilliant with lyrics and a amazing voice. All this music brings me back in a good way....even when those times were hard.

  • @joopio his lyrics is what gets me. Just beautiful!!

  • This is the perfect song of true love

  • Absolutely beautiful! Thank GOD for this man and his music! Love him!

  • i get goosebumps from 3:44 til the end every time i listen to this...such a powerful and hauntingly beautiful song

  • Amazing Song! As a man, it's difficult to express ourselves the women that we love. Pride and ego trumps the sensitivity, that this song says! I Pray that I can be half the man that Stevie Wonder portrays in these Beautiful Lyrics! And I would consider it an honor to play this on my Wedding Day, if I cross paths with the Woman that makes me feel these words! God Bless this!

  • amazing...its 39 years old but it still sounds great. So talented song writer, singer and musician( he played many different instruments). Also trail blazer in multi track recording and also playing synthesizers like no one else ever did before, I don't really like rap much, but I truly feel Stevie Wonder invented it ( listen to Innervisions and Songs in the Key of Life from the mid seventies!!!) and oh yeah ... he's blind

  • 5 people have no soul or musical taste this song is beautiful and a classic off of one of the greatest albums ever made

  • oh, it's so beautiful :> melancholic and magic... ;>

  • my favorite Stevie Wonder slow jam.....

  • Sorry, no one does this better than Stevie - can't you feel yourself soaring along the cosmos when he sings this?

  • o wow i didnt know he sang this song too. the first time i heard this song is by michael buble (he's cute too)

  • @jamaicangal1991

Yeah. Steve Wonder wrote it back in 1972.

  • Wesley... God put s together for a reason.... let's sease the moment

  • Check out Mariah Carey singing this in tribute to Stevie...amazing.

  • Somebody made a faster version of this song.. anybody know who it was ?

  • @drumqueen215 O'Bryan

  • @drumqueen215

O'Bryan - its jazzy and in my opinion...the best version. Geo Micheals is beautiful and it grows on you as you listen to it but O'Bryan's is sooo lovely. I'm not a fan of Stevies version...sorry.

  • @imliz100 i dont think any1 will ever get married off O'Bryan's version, while you have a right to your opinion, i have to disagree with you on the basis of this song still having relevance 40 years after the release, not to sau O'Bryan version isnt a classic because it is but this song, stands the test of time

  • Jsut heard george michael's new version of this song..absolutly amazing...i mean..it got much more feeling in it...stevie is a master when it comes to soul with all those amazing rifts and runs but george did some dam justice to stevie and this song...is like that george felt more what hes sayin thatn stevie did..2 diferent types of voices...but this is def a GM's song that could be perfectly be writen for george..stevie explodes in the end but george knew how to remain soft and gentle.

  • The version was a gift/tribute, not a song to prove and show george's best and high vocals...if i want that i would listen to his records but he took a song from stevie, made of his own with his gentle toutch as he only knows and said 'here it is, hope you like it william and kate'...raise your hands for this gentleman !!!

  • greatest lyricist ever. period

  • I love this song, man just put this on repeat, definitely on the wedding playlist.

  • I hoped to one day sing this to my bride. and now that wont happen because she chose another.

  • Really Good sond :)

  • CAN i JUST SAY;;;minor...chords,,,Yes!!!

  • My dad just dedicated this song to my mom... they're still going strong after 30 years. Gives you hope. :-)

  • it's this a version or stevie is the original composer???

  • @pianop90 this song is originally written and produced by thee Stevie Wonder!!!!!

  • @jaybuddah ok thx! i asked that because i've seen several songs with the same name

  • @pianop90 Stevie wrote this! :)

  • Every since I've seen Thelma's wedding on Good Times, I knew this will be my wedding song too. I hope I can hold it together when I see my boo waiting for me at the alter.

  • MY BEST FRIENDS WEDDING SONG....NOT SUCH GOOD FRIENDS ANYMORE...OH WELL. STILL MARRIED AFTER THIRTY YEARS.....

  • @mthomas437 sorry to hear about that

  • JOHNNIEWALKER23:

WELL DONE, SIR. SIMPLY A BEAUTIFUL LOVE SONG. AGAIN, THANKS. I REMEMBER THIS FROM HIGH SCHOOL DAYS.

  • MidlandKruiskade...calm down and reason with what i stated. It was not an attack on "religion" but your comments really illustrate what i was communicating. These titles only keep us divided, while music is universal. Stevie Wonder is a kind of "Ministry" to me. I am free to say that if it is what I think. If you don't like it, don't read it. Oh yeah...a Muslim does not give use to "oath". I Believe the Holy Prophet would have loved Stevie's Music. Jesus and Moses too.

  • One reason this song is special is because He wrote it from a deep devine place in him that affects the devine in us. Stevie spoke like...."revelation" in his music...a type of religion, as music is supposed to inspire. It reaches across barriers. it is pure. Thank You To Stevie! Every "so called" preacher, imam, rabbi needs to shut up, and listen to Stevie, They might learn something about really "seeing"

  • @steadystevie Why the fuck did you have to bring up religions? What the fuck is wrong with you man. I'm religious and it makes me mad. Stevie Wonder truly is a genius, but why do you have to bring up preachers and imams? I'm muslim, so what.. So I can't listen to Stevie Wonder or Marvin Gaye, cause they actually learn me things that for instance a imam doesn't? I'm religious and I love Stevie Wonder music.

  • I didn't even know Burlie even did a cover of this. Stevie Rules! Anything else is just flattering....

  • that is true buble is totally overrated and average. buble is fiting gap of music for people who lack of sense and following only tv advertising. and that what i think is bublle just singing macdonald and starbucks

  • michael buble?? you gotta be kidding me.... fine for sesime street>>

  • this other version is from bensharkey

  • I just found this other version... I know and I am not comparing Stevie Wonder with anyone, but one of the characteristics of music geniuses is the power to inspire others as well as Mr. Wonder has done.

  • G E N I U S --.

  • Great Recording....almost can reproduce the slight echo that was on the LP!

  • alot of people have tried ,but only stevie does it justice. only other version I like is the version sung on "Good times " by the kid who played micheal,)

  • @kelly122p that's actually how I came to know the song! I saw Michael singing it at Thelma's wedding on Goodtimes! Then a little while later I found out the song was originally sung by Mr. Wonder(ful)!!! LOL

  • @MsTeachMe1 Me too! All I can remember is Michael singing at Thelma's wedding and getting teary eyed as a little lad...lol Now I'm having to sing it at a wedding and found out it's my this great man.

  • @TheAaronfrankgrayson Oh, well good luck! Let me know how it goes!! :)

  • @MsTeachMe1 It went soooo welll :-) I enjoyed learning Stevie's music... He's the best. I put myself in that lovie dovey "my boo" mindset... was pretty much in tears afterwards. lol

  • @TheAaronfrankgrayson Yeah, Michael did a good job. It's too bad Thelma's husband tripped.

  • one of the most wonderful songs ... move into tears

  • Hey, someone made a uptempo version to this song. Who was it?

  • @naturalesque81tv could it be Michael Buble's version?

  • and in addition to this. a love song from buble? no. go. he should stick to his own repertoire that is appropriate for his age and life's experiences. then, maybe in 20 yrs, try to approach this song.

  • agreed. buble is too young to sing this song. hasn't lived life enough to sing the blues.

  • @kathrynandnancy I'm not familiar with Buble but wasn't Stevie himself only 22 when he wrote and sang this song?

  • Wow so many memories on my way to high school when this came out

  • Great tune. Stevie is wonderful. No pun intended.

  • @deathrib haaa. well played!

  • This is a song that is played at so many wedding receptions, no matter the race. Stevie Wonder is a musical prophet and truly is heaven sent.

  • I sure hate the way the radio station here won't play this version of this song!

  • QUE BUENOS RECUERDOS.............

  • ME TRAE TAN BUENOS RECUERDOS.....

  • I WILL BE HAVING MY 1ST DANCE WITH MY HUBBY AT OUR WEDDING TO THIS SONG!!! MAY 21, 2011!!! THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LOVE SONG EVER WRITTEN! THANK YOU, STEVIE! <3 :)

  • Don't be haters. This is a beautiful song meant to be sung by anyone who appreciates and loves it. There should be no trashing of one artists version to another. Music is all interpretation and preference.

If you like Stevie's version better than Michael Buble's, then just listen to Stevie's.

  • @feelingbuble THANK YOU FOR SAYING THAT! There is too much hate in the world to start analyzing music....

  • THIS IS THEE MOST BEAUTIFUL SONG EVER CREATED! AND, I'M SAYING THIS BEING A HUGE MJ, MARVIN, STEVIE ETC FAN! AND A TRUE LOVER OF ALL LOVE SONGS! AND, I COMPLETELY STAND BY THIS STATEMENT! AND THIS WILL BE MY 1ST DANCE SONG AT MY WEDDING <3 MAY 21, 2011 <3 XOX :D

  • my favorite stevie wonder song. i really don't want to hear buble sing it. so i won't. i love the production on this album version.

  • One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.

  • I would like this as my wedding song...it's just timeless.

  • Who's Michale Buble?

  • One of the best albums of all time. I love Stevie.

  • who made the origional

  • WTF? Sorry, but I just had to see what all the commotion was about with this Michael Bubble Bath character because trust me, as per cockney rhyming slang Me Old China, my man is having a laugh as did I when I heard it. Compare who to Stevie, did you fall and bump your head? You would truly have to be concussed to make that sort of comparison. I am walking down the Isle to this version (like there could ever be another) next year & I don't need flash backs PLEASE! Should have listened to JacRab.

  • I listen to this song at least twice a week. It's beautiful and haunting at the same time.

  • @bdcd10 Yes. Kind of like the entranced hymn Dracula would use to woo some unlucky vixen of the night. You and IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII...and then he bites her throat

  • Didn't Michael sing this song at Thelma's wedding on Good Times? Brilliant song!

  • @JDogg2482 He did and he did a good job. He may not be Stevie but his singing is why I looked for this.

  • @JDogg2482 That's correct.

  • @JDogg2482 yes he did!

  • @JDogg2482 naw fuck.

  • @JDogg2482 yes he did

  • @JDogg2482 Yeah, then Keith gets injured when J.J. accidentally trips him down the aisle.

  • @JDogg2482 LOL...I forgot all about that. A wedding that was payed for by none other than SWEET DADDY!!!

  • This is a WEDDING SONG!!!!

  • Stevie is sublime!

  • When you hear Stevie Wonder you hear the composer and how this song should sound. Incomparable. Thanks.

  • Absolutely beautiful!

  • I'm getting married to this song !!!

  • @thepathetique awwww, I want to dance to it at my wedding...hoping!

  • @thepathetique That sentence has two clear interpretations.

  • his live version puts this studio single to shame.....Stevie needs no effects!!!

  • Comment removed

  • outstanding!

  • I have to say that for me only Stevie Wonder can sing this amazing Ballard. I can almost feel all his emotions and thoughts............Spellbound.........

  • Stevie Wonder is amazing only he can sing this to it's true beauty. Nobody else compares to him............

  • mariah? what? she, though a GOOD singer, sounded constipated. dont even say it in the same breath as the legendary master. ray charles, tina turner, ella fitzgerald, mention names like that. n if u want someone young, charice pemgenko

  • @jmagnuslee do not for get about billy holiday or nat king cole.

  • @jmagnuslee

I thought Mariah interpreted this song very well, and was vocally creative as well. But Stevie is one of the greatest, along with the others you listed, minus maybe Tina.

  • @crazy2hazy easy for girls to sing these song, naturally have a higher octave. No one could sing this song better than him.

  • love it so much

  • my godmother got married to this song...the man who sang it had me crying

  • Stevie this song is the best wedding song ever in my books.I wish you would remake this song again. Lesboogie...............................

  • THIS IS A PERFECT WEDDING SONG

  • This song is perfect for that first newly wed dance

  • Stevie Wonder(ful) you still make me cry. I love you so much.

  • Happy 60th Birthday, Stevie!

  • This is so soul calming

  • i heard this song when it came out and have loved it ever since, if i get married it will be played

  • Such a beautiful song....! As a child when I heard this I was deeply moved, and then when {like many of us of that era the 70's}; saw Thelma of Good Times walk down the isle to this song I knew then that I had to also walk down the isle to this song at my own wedding, and I did....It was a most fulfilling and most fantastic moment ever...!

  • The atmosphere and lyrics of songs like this and Seems So Long are deep and timeless. Thanks.

  • Me and You and a burning candle...a bottle of Champagne...you smelling good me smelling good....a warm bubble bath and chocolate dipped Strawberries.....damn this song is dangerous!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @SugarStick77 I have heard it before, and you are quite right, it is very good.

  • This song brings tears to my eyes EVERYTIME I hear it. They don't make music like this anymore. REAL love...

  • This song goes to someone.....they just don't know it yet. :(

  • Oh gd, JacRab25 - Buble did a cover of this?! This Stevie song, in particular, is HIS and his alone. No one else can do this song justice.

  • @Jewcygrl except buble it is agreat version

  • O' Bryan verison is pretty good.

  • Stevie Wonder. PERIOD.

  • This and "Ain't No Use" are two of the most beautiful songs ever written ... both been bringing a tear to my eye ever since I bought the albums as a young teenager . I'm now an old fart male of 52 and they still have the same effect :*)

  • Yes, ditto only I'm a few years behind you in the fart catagory (and also female). But this song, along with 'Ain't No Use' are two of my very faves. In fact, I've always felt that, 'Ain't No Use' was underestimated. I mean, not a hummed tune or widely played song on the radio like some others of Sir Stevie's.

  • Im about tired of mariah carey, lately

  • Stevie Wonder version is better than Buble. Period. I do not need to hear Michael ruin this song.

  • @JacRab25 I agree but buble didn't ruin it his is great period

  • @JacRab25 michael's version isnt bad, i prefer stevie's but michaels isnt bad at all he doesnt ruin it

  • @JacRab25 He did all right with it, but you're right. Stevie is the only one who can do it right.

  • i Love this song

  • Yes We Can, Stevie. :)

  • So beautiful. Thanks Dad for gettin me into Stevie Wonder eventually.

  • the most beautiful lyrics ever written for someone in love..no one can even close to expressing

  • Michael frickin' Buble did a cover of this??? Who does he think he's kidding? This song should just be left to Stevie, it's the original and it's beautiful :) Apart from Mariah Carey's live version, that was amazing too.

  • @leonadachamp

It seems as if you've never heard Michael Bublé's version so you shouldn't judge before listening to it. To me, Michaels version is a lot better. It's a perfect balad and he has the perfect voice, accompanied by an excellent jazz band.

  • No, Michael Buble is one of the most overrated acts in the music industry today, if anything Stevie is underrated nowadays. I don't want to hear Michael's version, he has an average voice, which definitely doesn't compare with Stevie's distinctive, EXCEPTIONAL voice :) Stevie has 22 grammys and 160 million album sales, something Michael can only dream of...

  • Buble is not overrated. I wouldn't put him in the same class as Stevie for sure, but he doesn't have an "average voice"

  • @johnniewalker23 C'mon now. Bluble and Stevie are not even close. Stevie is a mover and shaker, a composer, a lyricists, a writer and has a unique voice. He changed a whole era of music, write complicated music with more chord changes than anyone and holy crap, is a legend.

  • @johnniewalker23 Bluble is a copy cat, someone who does what others have already done and better, will be forgotten and does not have a unique voice. Jesus. What are you smoking Jonniewalker. Oh. You are drinking booze. There IS no white counterpart to the black greats. Period.

  • @johnniewalker23 buble most definitely has an average voice. A cheap china town knock off of better and more original singers such as sinatra, tom wait, or stevie. He is to solo male vocalists as the Monkees are to the Beatles, and that is extending him too much credit because the Monkees have a couple good tunes and buble has none. He is purely commerical and inauthentic.

  • @johnniewalker23 whhhhooowww slow down there buddy. I like Buble, really nice voice, does a good job of covering songs and has good ones of his own, BUT lets not get ahead of ourselves here and get happy. Same class as Stevie wonder? Stevie wonder is not even in the Same Class as Stevie wonder, thats how up there Stevie wonder is. You gotta be around for 5 decades to even have your name mentioned in his presence to begin with. Buble has got like 40+ years to go

  • Buble has got awards to and hi CD sells

  • @leonadachamp The reason Stevie is underrated is because they took music education out of most schools. People have no idea what they are listening to. But then again, he is not underrated. He changed a whole era of music, composition and lyrics, like many other black american greats. Bluble doesn't compose he sings what others have done. He doesn't have a unique voice, STevie does. etc.

  • Mariah Carey's version was awful atleast of Michael sang it good and didn't make a sound that sounded like he was straining his voice

  • Im a maaassive michael buble fan! and his version is amazing but you just cant beat stevie wonder singing this i think even buble would think stevie did it better lol it is his song!

  • @ipswichgirl05 Stevie wrote this song decades ago ... it was remade

  • lol yea i know in the 70's rite

im just saying i love the remakes but you cant beat stevies origional 1

  • TRU DAT.

The original rules and so does Stevie.

  • Te creí ciegamente.... You and I.... mi eterno amor, me dedicaste este tema, nos amamos con el.... You and I....

  • This song is one of Mr .Wonders best now that kid from good times did it one time and did a very good job with it but he was no Mr. Wonder.

  • I never get tired of hearin this beautiful song....

  • a song that relaxes .... forget that this world is fragile and cruel

  • Comment removed

  • jus purchased this album off ebay 4 my bday. i listen to it everyday! lol

  • look, man. would you all go to michael buble place if you like him better? let us enjoy stevie. it was stevie's song, anyway-how can buble outdo stevie? you must be on drugs to think that.

  • @JacRab25 right. Stevie wrote the damn song and the music
