I've been searching that version for some weeks now =) And yeah it was from the 'True Blue' sessions.
"Tell Me' Stephen Bray confirmed the existence of this demo with Madonna singing as the lead vocal; in the Extended version, Nick Kamen sings lead vocals and Madonna sings backing vocals and a solo." (wikipedia)
THIS IS NOT A DEMO! Trust me. I have the Extended Remix of this song. It's not that hard to find. Someone took the Extended Remix and edited it to only have Madonna's parts. The quality of this bootleg edit sucks. I could re-edit the remix like this if I wanted and have it in perfect quality...but it ain't worth it.
Steve Bray confirmed that Madonna made a demo of this song with just her vocals, but this isn't it. She only did these back-up vocals on the remix.
it's still msadonna singing the verses..and as we know it there is nothing else of this song out there , so appreciate it....thankyou for posting the song...
It's not a demo, it's a fan made version using the dub or instrumental of Nick Kamen's version and cutting it down to single length, hence the lack of vocals apart from the backing vocals.
Amazing song ! she sounds so fresh .. 100% True Blue era just sounds like "where's the party" ..
I wish we can find the full Madonna version

This song reminds me of "Where's the party?" and "Who's That Girl?".
She should've sung this song as well by herself.
