Agreed. I think they should have tried to write this storyline around Izzy Gomez instead. It would have at least been slightly truer to his original character.

Yeah, TUGS had live action, adventure, and comedy, all in one! Salty's Lighthouse has what... morals? And half the episodes don't even make sense footage-wise.
@TheKipperRunsAgain I once did an adaption of the TUGS scene with the original personas called 'Johnny Cuba Goes Straight'. If I knew how the rest of the story went I might make it into a solo redub.
Is Salty's Lighthouse even set in the same time period as TUGS? (the 1920s?)

So true, Izzy is much more of a loner than Johnny. It angers me so much that the US alters everything to fit their high standards.
