@krollaostmedburger Actually Vegar, if you play almost any metal song in orchestral from, it sounds like it was meant to be, same in reverse too. If you were to arrange Mozart on guitar and bass, it sounds like a metal song.

The person who did this was very good and did it in Garageband or protools or something of the sort. I'm not hating, just setting something straight. I think this is good for an amature, but has many flaws. For example : Where's the solo?!!? Too hard? Another thing: the timing is horrible. Metal is supposed to soudn tight, also when played with orchestra. Check out John William's soundtracks for starwars Imperial March if you want to hear what real tight 'metal like' orchestral playing is.

My opinion is, that for an orchestral version of M.O.P. to be "awesome" it must at least include Kirk Hemmet's guitar solo. We're talking about a heavy metal track here. I expect the solo to be in there. But man, you're right, i have too high standards. I should be more like you: you are satisfied with everything you encounter, even if it's of mediocre quality or even incomplete. BTW With these standards I dont even wanna know what the girls you date look like :o)

I beg to differ, mop scales (and in general metalica solos scales) are good for violin perhaps not the exact solo Kirk plays, but something addapted, (the whole song is arranged for classical instrumnets!)...
