  • LMFAO, thanks for that insightful comment

  • Actually, some lady was furious that there was an enormous turd left on her lawn. The circus workers cleaned it up, but it "ruined" her garden. She should have been happy for the free fertiliser!

  • imagine what the people thought when they looked outside and saw a live elephant eating their tree.

  • I'm so, so, so glad that this isn't one of those escaped elephant stories that ends with the cops shooting the poor thing dead in the street :( YAY for happy elephants eating people's landscaping!

  • @opalcat it's a refreshing change form time-to-time eh lol.

  • i like the last part.. thats hilarious!

  • You notice the 911 operator never doubts that the caller really is seeing an elephant? Probably because the situation is so crazy, it just has to be true! This totally proves the saying that truth is stranger than fiction! I love the part where the dispatcher asks for available cars and the officers says "I just HAVE to clear for this!" LOL!!!!

  • I agree 08A1A5KA, If I was the caller I would've thought real hard about how to explain this one. It does sound pretty crazy! I love how the dipatcher and the police are trying hard not to laugh while broadcasting!

  • That caller's lucky. I saw an escaped emu once while driving home and called 911. The dispatcher hung up on me twice before he took my call seriously. Can't really blame him, but it was annoying nonetheless.

  • This is easily the single greatest thing that has ever happened. Ever.

  • I want a pet elephant now...

  • lol that is so funny! "traveling north bound..." "one oustanding elephant..." "and it's..um...eating somebody's tree..." "i found

an..elephant..." "an elephant's walking down the street.." OMG I DIED

  • This is so would be so awkward to call into 911, I'm amazed that they even believed them. I can't stop laughing...

  • hahaha "there is an elephant walking down the street"

    Dispatcher:sure...ok (hangs up)

  • Oh God, they're so cute. :3

  • i'm cute.

  • lol i remember when this happened!! its soo funny, b/c like what are cops gonna do? they dont want to go near it!! lol Newmarket is like 50 mins away from Toronto.

  • I want a fucking Elephant pet!

I would be :D if I get one!

  • the elephant is so cute lol

  • Newmarket where?

  • Outside of Toronto, Canada. Global is a local newsstation, but this is the first I've heard of this XD

  • Don't see that very often, do you.

  • hahahahaha...

  • that's AWESOME... "it's eating someone's tree"... that's great

  • I'd spare a tree for an elephant.

  • This is awesome! Love the end..."Outstanding elephant on Crossland Gate, and uh, its just eating somebody's tree." "10-4"

    LMAO

  • This i s so random! Those call operators will remember that for years lol

  • LMAO!

  • hilarious!

  • aahhh they had a moment of freedom

  • This is hilarious! You can tell the first dispatcher doesn't believe the guy, and the rest of them are all trying not to laugh..."outstanding elephant northbound on Crossland Gate" HA!

  • "and umm its just eating somebodys tree" lol

  • I live less than a quarter of a kilometer away from Eagle Street.
