No offence but I really don't like your Mary. She's way to hysterical for mary. In this scene Mary is supposed to be very proud that scene because she is an official of the court

Can you really blame that on the actor though? It's the responsibility of the director t set the tone.

Actor Proctor does not seem to have any more love for Elizabeth or a tinge of remorse for the adultery he has done. Is that the reading the actor and director intended?
