Man I remember the time I got to see the Chinees Olympic team practice back in 1984 and met some of our team. If I remember the names it was Greg Lougainis compteted against them, and Wendy Wyland, Pat McCormic ( the daughter not the mom) I had the picture of all of them. I was such a groupie then practicing 3 hours a day hoping to be that good someday.

After watching so many rounds of competition, the Chinese have always been very calm and elegant through out the whole process.

The minimum age for diving at the Olympics is 14 I believe, two years younger than gymnastics. The Chinese have always been excellent at diving, I don't deny that. :) Their diving in this event was awesome stuff!

you obviously don't understand the sport of diving. the longer you dive the more damage to your body, it becomes harder. the athletic peak of divers, much like gymnastics, lies in the 11-15 age group. younger the better. i'm not saying that little chinese girl didn't have talent, but there are reasons why it's agaisnt MANY rules to enter the olympics underage.

precisely why one trains, enters, and peaks at the Olympics at an early age and retire to recover the body. An old lady will have a much harder time to heal an injury... They should ban older athletes from these sports because the body just can't handle it.
