4:00 I can get this far, and then reason 5 will NOT emit any sound whatsoever. my box is GREEN not blue. when i hit play, or select the keys of the keyboard and a little speaker is my cursor, THERE IS NO SOUND. How do I fix this??

@Lukerativestopaction press tab, and double check that its wired into a channel on the top /main mixer. next check if the volume on the combi, the instrument and the main mixer are turned up

Sup man, Thanks for the tut.. I am just beginning in R5 and its daunting to say the least. I'm glad you took the time to show me where to begin. I use Ableton Live 8 (crappy 32bit DAW - STILL) and really don't have a need for this, but it doesn't hurt to learn. With regard to your music, it could use some work but it shows promise.

last comment was before I started watching - but when I "copy pattern to track in reason it only adds between my loop marker so I can control how where and how long I need it to be before I add into sequencer, maybe its because I always have loop on. not sure - I think its a lil easier. .. u on rocbattle too right ? check me out sometime

liked the tutorial, i can probably get the rest of my shit going from here. i currently use FL 10 and out of curiosity downloaded reason 5. is it in your opinion, more powerful and or "better" than FL? also i have a few plugins like massive and nexus 2 that i really like. do these work in reason? oh and one last thing, i just ordered an m-audio axiom 25 v2 and i was wondering if its compatible with this. thanks

@Slimrooney when you downloaded it you probably configured it to your primary sound driver. try downloading something called asio4all, this allows things like reason to be played on your sound card

@antagony69 listen bro, you can't record audio in reason. You need a recording program like acid, or audacity. I use audacity cause it's free. Record your audio in audacity, export it as a .wav then open that wave file with your NN19 sampler. Or you could slice it into parts with recycle and import those slices with the dr octo loop player. Id use the dr. octo. It's more efficient to have those slices! good luck! i'd like to hear what you're recording if you get a chance! - ray ray beats.
