In order to gain more welfare under the Women With Infant Children welfare program, you must have more children. The 'demographic' some are talking about includes the Hispanics that represent some 7% of the population that are illegal aliens. Legal Hispanics only represent 9% of the population. The illegal aliens having children are not a voting block, and won't ever be. And it has to stop. A trillion dollars in welfare over the last ten years? Stop it!
No other immigrant group in U.S. history has asserted or could assert a historical claim to U.S. territory. Mexicans and Mexican Americans can and do make that claim. Almost all of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah was part of Mexico until Mexico lost them as a result of the Texan War of Independence in 1835-1836 and the Mexican-American War of 1846-1848. Mexicans don't forget this events. Quite understandably, they feel that they have special rights in these territories.
I am only sure that a party cannot stand by alienating a whole demographic, particularly a GROWING demographic, and proposing measures sure to cost trillions in lost GDP and State expenditure. Let Republicans get tough on all immigration! They will go down next election if they keep this kind of natter going. GO IMMIGRATION REFORM. Thank goodness for cooler heads, who have some economic sense in them.
