When I was on Southwest a few years back we had a couple flight attendants at the beginning of the flight singing and one verse was something about Turning off computers and calculators

I've never had flight attendants on Southwest that were like this. I've only ever seen them on Youtube. Every time I've flown it has always been by the book, no different than American or Delta.

I'm young but I'm going to start my training for my PPL in about 2 years, hoping to go to beaver county aeronauticals, get my degree there, but haven't made up my mind whether I want to control or be a pilot, because I know a lot about both. What is going to determine is the benefits. Most people know the airline industry is miserable right now, so I'm going to have to wait and see how it is when I'm given the oppurtunity to fly.

SOUTHWEST Is awesome!!! I like the good humor, as I am afraid to fly and this is very comforting and not stiff like many other airlines...You don't have to use them, there are plenty of other airlines...Life is short...Loosen up!!!

Heh, I enjoy Southwest, and alot of the flights im on the crew always seems to do something somewhat comical on landing.

I was once on a Southwest Airlines flight and one of the attendants was singing all these parodies of different songs. Our flight was delayed for about 1 hr (after we were loaded onto the plane) and this attendant kept telling jokes. He ended with a parody of Auld Lang Syne. "Caus' Southwest Airlines gets you there, and gets you there on time"
