Tara are used in the "Esoteric School" of Buddhism, also called "Vajrayana" or "Diamond School" Buddhism. Its the same type as Tibetan Buddhism, and Shingon School in Japan. But very different from Zen Buddhism or Pureland Buddhism in China. The Esoteric School focusses on Vairocana (Great Sun) Buddha, and uses Mandalas (visual 'maps' of the universe), Mudras (sacred hand gestures), and Mantras (repeated sacred chants). Ancient Filipinos got Esoteric Buddhism from Indonesia's Sri Vijayan Empire.

Our History subject should call HISTORY of FOREIGN COUNTRY not Philippine History! Please upgrade our textbooks and i think they should teach us how to write in BAYBAYIN... How come they don't include that in the curriculum...
Philippines are actually rich..not just in natural resources but also in gold.
We didnt noticed that because foreign invaders such as Spain take it from us.We have our own culture but when Spanish era comes it vanish.So sad! Now Ive realized patronizing our own culture more and be nationalistic is the best way to preserve our culture.

most of the places spanish conquered ended up really bad,they were so greedy people,they hve destroyed and taken evrything specially our culture and turned it like them...
@Phoenix080805 The Spanish did this everywhere they went. Typical europeans liked to Pillage, rape, and conquer what doesn't belong to them. Philippines was a cultural hub for many ASian kingdoms and nations.
The Chinese were more advanced and civilized than Europeans. That's why they didn't take advantage of their ASian neighbors. I just wished the Ming government defended the Phils since many Chinese were there. The Spanish wouldn't stand a chance against the Chinese.
