@benjorgensen1: since it's dawn, the agriculture movement has committed more destruction towards the environment/the human body than I can ever have room or time to explain here. The ecosystem & human's primitive design was always meant to operate on a "hunt/gather" lifestyle; as a result, the ecosystem keeps it's equilibrium and it gives the planet time to replenish itself. Now it's turned up on it's end from way too many ppl treating this finite planet like an infinite vending machine
we should take this mesage VERY seriously. what this means is that greens in general not just spinach are THE best source of proteins-amino acids- for humans and all creatures. this is the missing link in human health. and greens are not only good for their protein but for the nearl a hundered minerals that can be gotten from them that are not found in very many other foods in large enough amounts. greens are the first hand food for a lot of things! meat is so middle man!
@benjorgensen1: That might have held true for fruits & vegetables 50 or (probably more) years ago...you know, before the topsoil depletion, overfarming, pesticides and genetic modification (franken-food). The nutrient content of an apple is about 1/5 of what it was in the 1950's. Even organic produce can be GM, most people think organic is "safe", but organic only applies to the method/conditions in which the produce is raised, the seeds can (and often do) come from a lab first.
@CactusHeart79 hmm, good point! conventional produce, whether organic or not, is still grown in depleted soil. that is a problem. and only a very few of us have the ability and/or the motivation to grow most of our own food like they use to do. the system that is in place in america makes such a health based gardening type lifestyle almost imposible on a large scale. so for the masses it may be true that a vegan diet based on conventional foods is lower in many nutrients.
@benjorgensen1:yeah, definitely agree with the last part.I was a vegetarian for nearly 5yrs & I had to quit because it actually had me feeling worse believe it or not!Soy was to blame for much of it.I may not be veg. anymore, but I do have "veggie days" 3 or so times a wk.It's almost funny how people are so sold over meat alternatives thinking they're somehow"healthier",when many are just as (over)processed as the foods they're trying to forsake lol.Ever seen a veggie dog tree? Didnt think soLOL
@CactusHeart79 totally! im a raw food inthusiast(not 100% anything, not even vegan yet, i eat some kind of animal food once a month or so) so i really understand what an ultimatly whole food is. i eat next to no soy foods because i know what a trick they are and that for most people that eat them, they are simply holding on to their need for taste/texture of meat, they are better off not trying to be vegan and just eating real meat ocasionally. at least meat is a whole/natural food.
@benjorgensen1: I have tried raw food and like it, but it's so incredibly expensive and time consuming...and it ususally leaves me hungry again 2 hrs later lol. Saying to a vegan "meat is a whole/natural food" is going to incite a riot lol.
Bluto is a real heavy drinker. I think drinking is ok at one or two a day, but the only way people can do that is if they have some DaNkZ to go with it.
Eating raw Pot has that exact effect you see with PoPeYe. Google neuroprotective antioxidants from marijuana and you'll see a government study about how THC and CBD are nutrients. CBD actually beats vitamins C and E in protective capacity. Lighting them on fire gives a good buzz compared to tobacco or alcohol, plus eating it after smoking out will counteract any of the sleepiness from smoking.
hes not smokin joints....hes eating spinach bro nd a cigar...nd moreover weed is gud but it indeed is a gateway drug...u need a drug to feel gud nd that aint even permanent....work man nd do good things nd u will feel good permanently...
There IS at least one old Popeye cartoon where he stuffs his spinach in his pipe and smokes it. I've seen it! This is no joke and I'm currently searching for it here on youtube. That is how I wound up at this video clip. I tell you all: Keep searching older Popeye cartoons. There is at least one in existance where he "fires up" his green stuff and puffs on it through his pipe a few times before turning strong. Todays powers that be may have curbed it's availability though, but it's out there!

They banned Pot in 1937. Check out the 1936 episode of PoPeYe called "What no spinach".

*Eating good DaNk that was grown properly and washed off prior to ingesting will create that same effect.

That spinach has vitamins, and all that explains why you must eat your spinach. It IS spinach.
