i remember that but forget where this is what burial place is this we saw her when we where there fifty some yrs ago. they really need to clean that place it use to be really pretty.
My mother actually took some pictures out there by Mary's grave and captured some mist that looks very much like a woman from the 1800's. Funny thing was there was no fog that night, they were not smoking, and the temperature wasn't cold enough to make their breath visible. She's really into this stuff so thank you for posting this! I will send her the link.
So, what are you, some kind of tour guide? Who gives a fuck? Wow, all you have to do in Coshocton is to make cheesy tourism videos...hahahahahaha... what a bunch of losers.
This is the old St Johns Lutheran cemetery which at one time also had a church on the grounds. My great grandfather Peter Gosser and his brother and father are buried here. You actually videoed his head stone in this video. Too bad this cemetery has been destroyed. I think the trustees of Linton Twp just gave up trying to maintain it. Too bad some idiot had to burn down the original Royer Chapel too.
here is a story of a couple who parked in the graveyard to look for the ghost. When he thought he saw something the guy went to look. When he returned to the car he found his girlfriend pale and hysterical. The ghost had come to the car, the girl said, and asked her to follow her. "What do you want?" the girl asked, and whatever the witch had said was too horrible for the woman to repeat.
Supposedly, a woman named Mary Stockum's second husband killed her retarded daughter. This was apparently okay with her, because when her husband was hanged, she vowed revenge. One by one, her remaining nine kids started wasting away and dying, apparently from a fever. After the fifth had died, the town fathers had the woman burned as a witch. When a sixth died, they dug her up, cut off her head, and buried it outside the cemetery. After that the kids stopped dying. Pretty horrible story huh....
AHH good times i grew up in coshocton too and went to lincoln elementary. anyone remember the one shack that was haunted because the dude cut his wifes head off an put it in an oven

We went there at night drunk as a hoot and I swear she tripped me as I was running through the graveyard. True story and I'll never go back.
