This was two years ago and times got waaay faster since then in the 100. Michael Phelps may have had the slowest leg, but he swam the lead off and times off the gun are always going to be about .6 slower. But he actually beat eamon sullivan to the wall in this race...I think phelps will be dangerous in the 100 free once he focuses on it.
Lezak rocks! He's the most unappreciated swimmer on the team but he gets the job done! He's doesn't get as much media attention as Phelps but he's always saving the day! He kicked ass in Beijing! He's the oldest but most seasoned swimmer!
phelps gets the most credit but got the worst time by almost a whole second from the 2nd to last time. thats just wrong. but dont get me wrong he is a great swimmer
He has a slower time only because of not knowing when the beep is going to go off at the beginning, the other swimmers know exactly when to dive so they will be faster.

This was two years ago and times got waaay faster since then in the 100. Michael Phelps may have had the slowest leg, but he swam the lead off and times off the gun are always going to be about .6 slower. But he actually beat eamon sullivan to the wall in this race...I think phelps will be dangerous in the 100 free once he focuses on it.

Lezak rocks! He's the most unappreciated swimmer on the team but he gets the job done! He's doesn't get as much media attention as Phelps but he's always saving the day! He kicked ass in Beijing! He's the oldest but most seasoned swimmer!

Wow, phelps was slowest. well, he's not a sprinter. Cullen is awesome. Lezak is a miracle worker after his amazing swim in beijing.

phelps gets the most credit but got the worst time by almost a whole second from the 2nd to last time. thats just wrong. but dont get me wrong he is a great swimmer

You obviously don't know anything about swimming.
The first leg swimmer's time always seems much slower because that is the true flat time.
The other swimmers get rolling starts!
That's why only the opening leg swimmer's time count and other relay split times never count as records.

He has a slower time only because of not knowing when the beep is going to go off at the beginning, the other swimmers know exactly when to dive so they will be faster.

The first leg swimmer's time is his true 100m flat out speed time.
The others time never count for their 100 free time.

To all the haters out there, Let me see you put on the suit and do what these guys do, the suit does not make the swimmer, If you guys knew your shit about swimming you would realize that these suits only help by like .1-.2 seconds. I use to swim and all I can say is ppl saying that the suit is comparable to steroids are ignorant, FINA has approved of the suit and its available to EVERYONE so keep talking shit, these guys will still kick your ass with or without the LZR.
