  • I just bought a concert tuned Kiowa Love Flute from these guys and yes...it is that beautiful! Erik is using reverb on his flute to enhance it for the video. But they are in fact that wonderful in person. I have gotten 3 other flutes from them...the Kiowa is my favorite (along with my oriental flute).

  • that sound cant be natural its to beautiful and so strong. i have a plastic one like this but the sound sucks , i gotta get one like this . ill try

  • Actually I should have said an inexpensive kiowa love flute. Thanks

  • I've been looking for a soothing flute and this seems to be the best to my ear. Where can I purchase one. I looked on ebay but didn't find any. Any suggestions?

  • i would love to buy this flute.. i want it soooooooo much :)

  • I love this flute, I bought one myself in Arizona... But somehow I don't get any sound out of it... Is it because I'm not blowing right or did I just buy a flute meant for decoration?

  • @Yfnan It is entirely possible that you did buy a decorative flute. However, do you see that little carving on top? The little wooden block that's tied on? You need to scoot that back and forth while blowing. If you take it off, you'll see that there are two holes underneath it. The block needs to cover the one nearest the mouthpiece, and be like a millimeter behind the one nearest the finger holes, not covering it. As for air pressure, think of blowing bubbles. Not too much, not to little.

  • @coyotecrow4 Thanks for the advice! I'll definately try it this way! Again, thank you!

  • @Yfnan Not a problem. I say scoot it around, but once you've got a clear sound on all notes, leave it be. I've been playing for about a decade now, and have just got into making them in this style in the past year. Harder that all get out. Must just be the species of bamboo I'm using. It's like trying to carve copper plumbing.

  • To anyone who has ever tried and failed at meditation, consider this flute. You do not blow into it, you breathe ever so slightly. It forces you to relax in order to make the sounds.

The layout is such that just going up and down the scale sounds beautiful. Before long, you are improvising and meditating at the same time.

Watch his videos and visit his site for more bamboo wind instruments. He hand crafts flutes, saxes, and different flute styles from around the world.

    I highly recommend it

  • Eric,

I just bought one from you and it has changed my life. The flute and your DVD are fantastic. The sounds is incredible and you are an excellent teacher.

Thank you with all of my heart.

  • Awsome! when I go looking for a flute like this one, what note should I be lookng for!?

  • @AxelTiger I like the deeper sound so I asked Erik and he recommended F minor. Other wood flutes have a higher pitch, like a traditional metal flute.

For me, I wanted to learn to use it to help me meditate. The key of F is very full and deep. Another common key is A minor. Good native american flute samples to decide what you like the best.

  • español ps gringo, en español ps

  • what is the difference between the Easy Kiowa flute and f#

  • Amazing sound. Yes, it's praying. I can hear God in the sounds.

    Thank you, Brother.

  • Excelente!

  • Very beautiful and very useful. Thank you.

  • I feel the sounds make you happy or meditativeI recently I heard a traditional Indian flute tune and sound played on a metal concert flute ,to my surprise. If you want to worship God, offer all your experiences to that center in your heart where God has also learned your skills for you.

  • please explain

  • To me, all flutes are meditative. Different flutes sound different, because the object of their meditation varies. Kiowa gives me the feeling of a very vast space filled with freshness and peace.

  • The Way he explains the techniques and the nature of the flute is superb.
