Hey ladies I found this great website iherb.com where you can buy natural hair products way cheaper than before. you can use this promotion code UGU563 to get $5 dollars off your first order. =)
@ThinkandGrowChick No I'm ashamed to say I've been natural for 2 years and my hair looks nothing like this lol but I've been doing my own trim/butchering and i don't think that's helping lol
@stop08it If you use a lot of product in your hair, then it may behoove you (love that word, lol!) to wash more often, but I say do whatever you are comfortable with and works best for your hair. My hair gets dry and my scalp can get *really* itchy, so "scalp-only" washing is very helpful for me. If I'm wearing a straight(er) style, however, then I will go ahead and wash then entire length of my hair like normal.
@ShutYourStinkingTrap Nope, my hair doesn't flake at all. Surprisingly, the Kinky Curly Curly Custard flakes my hair really bad, but never Eco styler gel.
@dadakoita It varies depending on the season and they style I'm wearing, but generally I wash my hair once a week. If my hair is in twists and/or it's summertime, then I may wash/rinse my hair more often.
OMG! I cannot waiiiiit to chop off the rest of my permed hair so I can do this. My hair is ummm way thicker than yours but i think i can do what you did.
I wish my hair was like that. I hate my hair. I'm biracial so it is really curly BUT it hangs down, mine doesn't have any body or that PLUMP like yours :/ If i want it with body then i have to wait Hours for it to dry :/
@Julianneghost23 Don't hate your hair. Try twisting then the next day take the twists out and fluff it up but like upside down. Like tilt your head and flufffffff! And curly hair that hangs down is beautiful!
@Julianneghost23 Thank you but don't hate your hair! I'm sure it is beautiful in its own way and does things that mine could never hope to do naturally.
@Julianneghost23 Have you tried diffusing? My hair is at this really awkward length stage, and it's starting to really hang. So I diffuse it with the cool setting on my blow dryer, this makes my hair really soft and fluffy, and gives it a LOT of volume.
Your routine is good and I enjoyed the way you put your video together. The only thing I would change about the routine is use curly puddy from miss Jessies line rather than gel, because gel tends to dry out your hair.
i love this video. its unlike others where they show everything. i have so many issues with combing my hair out when i wash it because its so thick. and that gave me a really good idea. thank ya
@chopin4brier HONEY ANYTHING WORTH HAVING ISNT EASY DEAR. DONT BE A FOE TO GOOD SMART WORK...ITS TEDIOUS...BUT ITS WORTH IT.....AND I DONT MEAN QUICK FIX LOREAL WORTH IT HONEY.
@pinkcurlgirl My general rule is that if I feel compelled to fast forward through *my own video* when watching it, then I'm talking way too much... ;-)
I thought your hair looked cute even before your routine...lol. Coconut oil and olive oil also work wonders on my transitioning hair. Happy Hair Journey!
the black women features!!!!!!!!!!!, natural thick rich hair texture, and facial features is simply breath taking as thought chisel out of of the depths of night, we everything grows
the black women features!!!!!!!!!!!, natural thick rich hair texture, and facial features is simply breath taking as thought chisel out of of the depths of night.
I loved your pretend washing. XD This seems like something that I could do but don't you have issues using the Eco Styler? It gets so stiff and is hard to wash out.
gorgeous hair! i'm transitioning to go back to being natural and i'm sooo excited! i was for a yr and a half and broke down and got a relaxer but i'm sooo thrilled about doing it RIGHT the second time around-sticking with my regimen and truly taking care of my hair! thanks for the inspiration! :o)
Hey! I'm natural also and a common problem that I have with my hair and it's growth is when I choose to wear my hair in its natural state it requires alot of detangling which leads to damaged ends after awhile and when I go to straighten it my ends are horrible and I have to cut of my progress. Do you think this method of shampooing can decrease detangling damage?
@KayNatural This method of detangling has definitely helped with raggedy ends. In fact, before I get in the shower, now I'll spray my hair with a little water, add conditioner as my pre-poo instead of oil, then I detangle right then with a wide-tooth comb. I proceed to shampoo as show in the video.
Another thing that helps is I try to at least rinse, if not wash and condition, my hair ever 4 days or so. Water is the best moisturizer to I try to give my hair more of it whenever possible.
@tdbrown88tdb My favorite kind is the 365 Brand at Whole Foods. It's practically the same as all of the other coconut oil brands, but it's generally cheaper and smells more "coconut-y" to me. I use it on my body as well, so I like the lingering tropical scent :-)
@BeauGorgeousNatural Aw thank you! I'm always surprised by how much people like that Bantu Knot video, lol, it was such a random thing for me to do. But yes, I'm really trying to get my blog/youtube game together this year :-)
@ThinkandGrowChick ,Girl! I showed my family your channel and they alll subscribed! And they weren't even Natural before! Now they are ;-)You keep doing what you do! Your an Inspiration :-)
@MyLifeAsAlicia I've been proactively trying to grow it long for a little over a year now, although I've been natural for 7 years. If you check out my blog, thinkandgrowchick [dot] com, I go in more detail about my hair goals and progress.
@BABYGOOGOO I'm glad you liked it! I've been meaning to do an updated regimen video for a while, but video making is tough!
