  • i love this video, i've been debating on whether to go natural and i think you're bringing me to the dark side lol

  • hahaha u said poo, totally subscribing.

  • beautiful

  • Hey ladies I found this great website iherb.com where you can buy natural hair products way cheaper than before. you can use this promotion code UGU563 to get $5 dollars off your first order. =)

  • Nice demonstration and the music is rockin'! Thanks!

  • Wonderful video.

  • I love this video, I had to add to my favorites!!! Your hair is so beautiful & healthy!!! I just love the thickness of your hair!!!

  • what is the brand of your coconut oil and where can you buy it

  • I usually braid my hair into sections when I wash it, but I think I'm going to try twisting it now that I've seen your video! Thanks!

  • @iwantorlando05 No problem! :-)

  • wow this video makes me want to cut off my hair and start all over <3

  • @AStaRLuV Are you currently transitioning?

  • @ThinkandGrowChick No I'm ashamed to say I've been natural for 2 years and my hair looks nothing like this lol but I've been doing my own trim/butchering and i don't think that's helping lol

  • ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Keep rockin it girlie ♥♥♥♥♥

  • @QiQiWithThaCurlz Thank you, I will! :-)

  • I love this video .simple and easy .

  • @abowuel Thanks, I'm glad it helped you!

  • what if you use alot of product in your hair? is it ok just to shampoo the scalp only?

  • @stop08it If you use a lot of product in your hair, then it may behoove you (love that word, lol!) to wash more often, but I say do whatever you are comfortable with and works best for your hair. My hair gets dry and my scalp can get *really* itchy, so "scalp-only" washing is very helpful for me. If I'm wearing a straight(er) style, however, then I will go ahead and wash then entire length of my hair like normal.

  • I am very happy to have come across your video. I look forward to watching more.

  • love the video.

  • naturally beautiful

  • Thanks for sharing! Your hair is just like mine and it's great to see how other people handle their hair =)

  • Does your hair flake with the eco styler and the knot today leave-in?

  • @ShutYourStinkingTrap Nope, my hair doesn't flake at all. Surprisingly, the Kinky Curly Curly Custard flakes my hair really bad, but never Eco styler gel.

  • I need natural hair tips NaturallyElayne@blogspot.com

  • how often do you wash your hair?

  • @dadakoita It varies depending on the season and they style I'm wearing, but generally I wash my hair once a week. If my hair is in twists and/or it's summertime, then I may wash/rinse my hair more often.

  • Kool Beans!!!!!

    ( ;

  • What's the name of this song?

  • OMG! I cannot waiiiiit to chop off the rest of my permed hair so I can do this. My hair is ummm way thicker than yours but i think i can do what you did.

  • I wish my hair was like that. I hate my hair. I'm biracial so it is really curly BUT it hangs down, mine doesn't have any body or that PLUMP like yours :/ If i want it with body then i have to wait Hours for it to dry :/

  • @Julianneghost23 Don't hate your hair. Try twisting then the next day take the twists out and fluff it up but like upside down. Like tilt your head and flufffffff! And curly hair that hangs down is beautiful!

  • @Julianneghost23 Thank you but don't hate your hair! I'm sure it is beautiful in its own way and does things that mine could never hope to do naturally.

  • @Julianneghost23 why don't you use a diffuser so that way your hair dry up faster, without frizzing up your curls

  • @Julianneghost23 You could use a diffuser on cool setting if you want "poofy" hair

  • @Akilahfoye Lol, I just said the same thing :)

  • @Julianneghost23 Have you tried diffusing? My hair is at this really awkward length stage, and it's starting to really hang. So I diffuse it with the cool setting on my blow dryer, this makes my hair really soft and fluffy, and gives it a LOT of volume.

  • Routine made fun - loved the flow!

  • I love this video!

  • thank for the tips

  • Your routine is good and I enjoyed the way you put your video together. The only thing I would change about the routine is use curly puddy from miss Jessies line rather than gel, because gel tends to dry out your hair.

  • @williamskdr walmart sells huge 31 oz jars for 5.50

  • love it.!

where can ifind a jar of coconut oil.?

  • Nice mellow video with a fun flavor! Thanks a lot!

  • omg!! thats where you get the coconut oil at WHOLE FOODS!!

  • this is a really cool video - so much better than loads of talking and watching as they twist every strand - great work great song and great hair x

  • @pinkcurlgirl My general rule is that if I feel compelled to fast forward through *my own video* when watching it, then I'm talking way too much... ;-)

  • @ThinkandGrowChick I didn't mean to vote this down :/ lol it was a malfunction

  • @pinkcurlgirl LOL! "Twist every strand". LOL I know!

  • I loved your pretend washing. XD This seems like something that I could do but don't you have issues using the Eco Styler? It gets so stiff and is hard to wash out.

  • love the way u was your hair

  • @afropagangirl11223 "Sweetest Sin" by loveshadow on ccMixter.org

  • gorgeous hair! i'm transitioning to go back to being natural and i'm sooo excited! i was for a yr and a half and broke down and got a relaxer but i'm sooo thrilled about doing it RIGHT the second time around-sticking with my regimen and truly taking care of my hair! thanks for the inspiration! :o)

  • Beautiful hair!!

  • How long have you been natural your hair its gorg x

  • Great video, for curiosity sake do you guys think the styles in my video are considered as proactive styles?

  • @fabtube25 Yes, I would consider the twisted updos and braided styles featured in your videos as protective styles.

  • @ThinkandGrowChick thank for responding :)

  • Creative video!!

  • LOL at your demonstrations..... Great video!

  • you hair is absolutely gorgeous. love it

  • I just washed my hair today, but imma have to use this one! Thank You.

  • Hey! I'm natural also and a common problem that I have with my hair and it's growth is when I choose to wear my hair in its natural state it requires alot of detangling which leads to damaged ends after awhile and when I go to straighten it my ends are horrible and I have to cut of my progress. Do you think this method of shampooing can decrease detangling damage?

I am in desperate need of a solution!

By the way, keep up the good work! : )

  • @KayNatural This method of detangling has definitely helped with raggedy ends. In fact, before I get in the shower, now I'll spray my hair with a little water, add conditioner as my pre-poo instead of oil, then I detangle right then with a wide-tooth comb. I proceed to shampoo as show in the video.

Another thing that helps is I try to at least rinse, if not wash and condition, my hair ever 4 days or so. Water is the best moisturizer to I try to give my hair more of it whenever possible.

  • @ThinkandGrowChick where you get your coconut oil from

  • @tdbrown88tdb My favorite kind is the 365 Brand at Whole Foods. It's practically the same as all of the other coconut oil brands, but it's generally cheaper and smells more "coconut-y" to me. I use it on my body as well, so I like the lingering tropical scent :-)

  • You might consider submitting this video to napptural85 hair products and tools contest.

  • @bornearth Thanks for the tip! I couldn't find the contest you were mentioning though, has it ended?

  • I could watch you do your hair all day. I love it! My lazy self is sitting here and should be doing what you're doing.

  • Where can I purchase KNOT TODAY?

  • @MrCODisawesome Whole Foods always carries Kinky Curly products in stock.

  • @MrCODisawesome I've seen Knot Today both at Target and online at Amazon.

  • Music was AWESOME. Hair too.

  • great video! random question: what song was playing (loved it!)?

  • @saywhatUneedtosay Sweetest Sin" by loveshadow on ccMixter.org

  • Girl! Its so Awesome seeing you! After that Bantu Knot Video, I missed you even more! Welcome Back!!!!!!!!!!! ;-)

  • @BeauGorgeousNatural Aw thank you! I'm always surprised by how much people like that Bantu Knot video, lol, it was such a random thing for me to do. But yes, I'm really trying to get my blog/youtube game together this year :-)

  • @ThinkandGrowChick ,Girl! I showed my family your channel and they alll subscribed! And they weren't even Natural before! Now they are ;-)You keep doing what you do! Your an Inspiration :-)

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE this. This is similar to my routine but still a bit different. LOVE IT! Also that music is amazing.

  • @sheenalyoung Thank you so much! And you're right, the song is GREAT! I fell in love with it as soon as I heard it :-)

  • I love the demonstration! Nice to see on the 'tube again!!!

  • You've been growing your hair for how long?

  • @MyLifeAsAlicia I've been proactively trying to grow it long for a little over a year now, although I've been natural for 7 years. If you check out my blog, thinkandgrowchick [dot] com, I go in more detail about my hair goals and progress.

  • nice vid!

  • Your regimen is similar to mine. I love your videos! Keep them coming. :)

  • great! I love your videos and was waiting for you to make another!

  • @BABYGOOGOO I'm glad you liked it! I've been meaning to do an updated regimen video for a while, but video making is tough! Very labor intensive; I have a new respect for all of the other ladies who have been on youtube for a while. It is part of my 2011 goals to make more videos, so expect more to come!
