Interesting take on reality. As I recall the situation, that small Army element who took the horses (of which I was a part of) found a number of animals suffering from various medical problems, obviously not very well cared for, and hidden away by looters. We recovered 16 horses, built a new facility for them, and turned them over to the Iraqi Government. We never offered 50 million dollars for any animals, but did offer to pay for any animals that were taken by mistake.. no one came forward.
