I've always thought that guy was a rally driver.. other subs said he was a rally driver.. that and usually Ferrari driver's are old hags who uses racing as an excuse to show of their money :U

@Evolved08 If I remember correctly he is a rally driver. In the last episode they explain that he goes sideways through turns because thats how he drives in Ferarri races; this doesnt really make sense. A rally driver on the other hand would drive exactly that way; used to the minimal traction and compensating with exaggerated drift techniques. They just screwed up the translation or changed it I'd say.

@adamlonely It's a case of "Engrish", unfortunately. "Rally" sounds a lot like "Rarry" in Japanese, so Funimation obviously mistook it for "Ferrari".

Actually I'm pretty sure he's got a Formula Atlantic engine under there, which has no T-VIS on it, but instead individual throttle bodies. It's the internals of the engine that are designed to rev to 11k rpm.

But that still doesn't change the fact it's not the VVTi that means it has to rev so high, it's just the design of the engine.
