Just make sure they have a safe (out of the water) place to perch. My shower is big, and has a vent in the ceiling. I hung a perch from the vent, using a thin piece of wire. Sven sits on my shoulder (shouting at me) until the water hits him directly ~ then he shifts to the perch.

Take him in the shower with you. The sound of water always gets them going - and it should get used to talking into your ear!

Yes - I was lucky with his colours. He was quite a bland-looking chick, but now gets more and more vivid.
