This man lived the blues. Growing up in North Carolina in the teens & twenties, he was 18 years old in 1929 when the market crashed and the Great Depression began, so you KNOW he lived the blues. He was 2 years older than my Father, and Dad had stories of suffering from that time that would tear your heart out. (when you could get him to talk about it) We have it so good today that it's almost unbelievable.
the good thing about groups like pink Floyd is they did take the main ingredients to make some good music. their color does not matter they were great. they showed their respect to their fellow artist by naming themselves after them this is the highest form of respect and love they could show i also agree 100% percent we are losing alot in musical talent and artistry ..
@kornssj1 Most of what I hear these days that's classified as rock is a joke. It's hard to find any rockers anymore that have any blues incorporated into their sound. When you take the blues out of rock, you're killing off one of the ingredients that made it a genre of music to begin with. Thank you for your comment and I agree with you 100% Mike
You censoring bastards listen to the music I like, and yet you get a paycheck for your evils. Wrong man, just plain wrong.

You may or may not know that Floyd Council is where a band named Pink Floyd got the name Floyd from. Pink comes from Pink Anderson.

@randomandrare
its sad. all you need nowadays is a whiny attitude and the 3 chord minimum.
what happened to the concept of a man NOT being a woman?
geez, people.wake up and grow some balls, try a non-standard tuning, and for fuck sake.learn a 4th chord.
and PLEASE try to learn how to improvise.
a BAD solo is better than 5 finger deathpunch.or any other band whos last album debuted after, lets say, uh 1990.
if your life sucks that bad, MAYBE ITS NOT YOUR EX GIRLFRIENDS FAULT!
