Idiots like you were scaring the uneducated back in the 70's, claiming we were on the verge of an ice age. As for excess CO2 and methane, they are not warming agents. They are simply gas phase molecules that absorb photons (IR, Vis, UV) from the sun - the real heat source. This field of research is called Molecular Spectroscopy. Read up on it so that you don't sound so foolish next time.

C02 properties cause it to absorb IR in the upper atmosphere. Methane is a many times more effective greenhouse gas than C02 and methane is being released from the melting ice masses and tundra areas. Water molecules also absorb radiation but they stay in the atmosphere only days, whereas excess C02 stays in the upper atmosphere for centuries
