Yeah - Don Drummond was dead for a long time by 76.. This was Vin Gordon.. they called him "Don Drummond Junior".. cause he was the next great Trombone player after Don passed..
That single said: "Don Drummond Junior" (in fact is Vin "Don D Jr." Gordon who blows here) the original Drummond was dead when Dennis Brown become a producer.
Wow... have never heard this tune before Blaze... neither Don Drummond (not that I can recall)... but what an interesting write-up you provide... what a shame about his mental health problems... love instrumental dubs.... like jazz with a reggae heartbeat :)
I think this might be vin gordon though, the record is credited to don drummond junior, which was gordon's nickname. Drummond was long deceased by the time this record was pressed too.
This is Don Drummond Jr. aka Vin Gordon, the real Don didn't record anything after being sent to the asylum in 1965.

Vin Gordon says this:
It is not Don Drummond:he died in late 60s. He never played no reggae songs. I did this tune in England with Casto Brown the owner of Deb Music

Great track, but it is definitely Don Drummond Jr. (Vin Gordon) rather than Don Drummond (RIP), as stated below.
