Actually, there are a number of religions that consider themselves the chosen people namely Seventh Day Adventists, Mormons, Islam, Brahma Kumaris, Rastafari and yes even Christianity. Supersessionism is the traditional Christian belief that Christian believers have replaced physical Israelites as God's chosen people. Anyway, I think a lot a people misinterpret what is meant by "chosen people" and see it as an elitist, holier-than-thou thing but that is not the essence of its meaning.

I am a Christian. I go to a non-denominational church. My pastor used to be Baptist, actually, I also grew up Baptist, but I have not been in the Baptist church for over 20 years now.
