I think it was Jazzy Jeff, since radio peeps and shit started calling them selves DJ Buttcrack and DJ GotNoTurntables and shit and after Jazzy Jeff (correct me if it wasnt him) said turntablism it officially changed. Although there's a great difference between pressing play on the radio and performing turntablism. No reason for them to be called the same. Especially no reason for the lazy people to get fancy names. Just radio peeps trying to get their jobs to sound more spicy i guess.
