  • Hi all there, I had just finished the detail translation of all these 4 parts of this video.

If you need them, please send me an e-mail: jf17xiaolong@sina.cn

(That is a temporary account, I would not check mails frequently, and please let me know through YouTube system first.)

    ---

It consists of 9 pages in a Word2003 file.

I would just give that to my Pakistani friends, only!

    ---

    (also notice here @harisahmed90 ,@zeroone30000ua, ...)

  • it say pakistan initially abandon the project when F16 was made available to them at a lower price. china decide to fund it themselves and seek partnership with US company in development. later however, US embargo on China ended the partnership prematurely, so China had to turn to USSR company for hardware(powerplant/engine), but USSR collapse! but lucky Russia continue the cooperation. finally, after failing to receive the 2nd batch of F16, pakistan see importance in developing it own fighter..

  • some one translate this...plz

  • @DetexD in the end of the video the guy said in 2001 the designs of the fighter jet was completed and paki gov wants the fighter to have first flight in 2003

  • thank GOD my wife Chinese she translate to me :)

  • then plz send us translatation

  • This video just goes on to prove that the JF-17 is a Chinese aircraft with next to zero Pakistani contributions. Designed, developed and tested in China......

    ........ and assembled in Pakistan.

  • proves Chinese have a better air industry then India. J 10, FC 1 and J 11 made in recent times.

  • Sure they do - they have been designing aircraft since the 1950s. In India, after the Marut fighter bomber of the 1960s the military showed no interest in indigenous efforts - only licensed production of foreign aircraft continued.

  • Please note China has been depriived of advanced technology. India has licensed production of many Russian aircraft over fifty years. I think that is more helpful then, China relying on own intelligence and espinage to get results.

  • yes they abondended becoz they realize they are indians(malwari) slave of 1000 years of muslims.they cant make better import and put our own label and used media to portryed its indeginous examples"lca arjune brahmos etc etc

  • The only slaves here are those whose ancestors surrendered to the invading Arabs and now pray in the language of their Arab overlords facing in the direction of their masters' land.

My religion is my own - borne of my people, in my own land over thousands of years. No one imposed it on me and I am Hindu today because my ancestors DID NOT SURRENDER TO THE INVADERS.

  • erm , modern day pakistan was never part of the makkah empire, spain was at one point but you dont get muslims there, russia was never part of the empire , but you get ethnic russian muslims ( not migrants)

Just because you forefathers believed the earth was flat doesnt mean it is, you should always look into islam before you criticize it

  • Islam arrived in Pakistan through conquest - I didn't say that it was part of the Makkah empire.

As for your flat-earth comment, you are advised to follow your own advice about knowing before speaking.

  • @ukbang2007

you motherfucker son of a hindu baniya we are muslims from thousands of years we are the ones who invaded india and converted those who wanted to follow the right path and they are now indian muslims we muslims of pakistan are the sons of arabs, turks, mongols and some locals of those areas which are now in pakistan not like hindus who are still worshipping stones and cows.

  • Good things take time to perfect and they are accomplished over time by persevering against failure. Unlike the M-9, M-11 and Nodong missiles repackaged as Ghauri and Hatf. And the Chinese FC-1 becoming the JF-17 Thunder.

  • Even the Chinese took many years to make a good plane on their own - that only happened recently, till then they were copying and later deriving most of their planes from the Russians.

  • if wht u are saying is true

    then it just proves that

    how much China values Pakistan

  • 4:00 to 7:00 is all about Pakistan's role.

  • lol do u really understand wot they r saying in chinese ??

Shuai chaolin: (Deputy Chief Engineer of CAC)

You share the profit if the project becomes a success and make money.

but if the project fails, the partners will share the risk as well.

In 2001, the initial design was completed and Pakistan demand the prototype must

fly by the end of 2003.

Luo Huairong (Chairman of Chengdu Aircraft Industry Corporation (CAC)):

Bringing foreign investment to develop military aircraft and export was the

first time in China. Originally our R&D was completely funded by chinese goverment,

the goverment gave us the task, customer gave us the requirement, then we do the

    develpment. This time is different.

  • Because the fund is very limited. So the project

and management was more like a venture capital project. This was new.

We never before treated an military aircraft project like this before.

  • (8)

On 1991/6/28, Pakistan and China signed the contract on developing a new fighter jet.

Named by China as "Xiao long" and JF-17 thunder by Pakistan. Pakistan air force

provided 50% of the investment while China provided the other 50%.

The new jet will be developed in Chendu

(they) wanted "Saber II" just to be able to lower the price of F-16 during the negotiation

Pakistand could save one billion's dollars,

    0:32

After Pakistand quit the "Saber II" project. China decided to continue and renamed the project to "super 7"the project. They decided to take the risk and invested on the first phase

    of the project.

Grumman said they would not invest in the first stage but could provide technical help.

  • (2)

    0:58

Nine chinese went to USA on 1988/12/3 to start the second round talk with Grumman.

In 1989, US stopped all military cooperation with China including the "super 7" project with

    Grumman.

Even this project was stopped, the copperation happened between china and US on

this miltary project was still unprecendent.

    2:18

Chendu company decided to continue the project just by its own effort

Chu Jida: Since we could not get the engine from US, we turned to Soviet union and

    Europe.

  • (4)

On 1991/5/17, A chinese delegate went to Moscow to visit Mikoyan design bureau for

engine purchase. On 5/30, a memorandum was signed. However nobody expected Soviet

Union collapsed just 2 months after this visit.

    However Russia allowed further discussion.

Once the engine issue was solved, finding the first customer become the no.1 task

    of the super 7 project.

  • (5)

    3:58

1992/1/20, in order to open the talk with Pakistand, a chinese delegate went to

Pakistan. After 1987 termination of "Saber II" project, Pakistan still pays close

attention to china's super 7 project. One of the generals (???) in the previous

project now is promoted to ???. He is in charge now. On 1/23, General ?? met the chinese guests, the doort to cooperation was opened again.

  • (6)

    4:41

Chu Jida: ... this general is our old friend, he was very interested in our project.

    ....

Pakistand wanted super 7 not only because they eed a light fight jet at that time,

but because the second shippmend of F-16 purchased from US was not delivered.

From thislesson. Pakistand adjusted their strategy.

  • (7)

    5:56

Chu Jida: because they did not have their own aircraft industry, they could

do some repair work and built small planes, but could not build military planes.

They hope they could learn from China and build their own aircraft industry.

Only China could help them on that.
