Anyway... this review is one of the worst. the CLK is a lot lighter than the m6. The m6 is more like a family car SLASH sports car. the CLK black series is pure racing.

The CLK black series is so much better than the M6 in every catagory. M6 isnt even a real competitor to the CLk63. The Porsche 911 Turbo, Nissan GTR, and Corvette ZR1 are more serious competitors and are actually in the same price range as that CLK model.

I'm not sure that MB even makes the Black in house and its like 5 yrs old. When you go out to buy a sports car MB is not even in the conversation.

I'd modify a manual before I'd ever buy an auto . The looks of the MB in my opinion is too racer boy for me. I'd prefer the subtle aggressive design of the M6. The 8 Series supercar offered the first V-12 engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox on a road car. This was in the late 80s until late 90s. On another note, the SLR and the SLS are NOT supercars. They are GT class cars like the M6. Mclaren has used both BMW and Mercedes engines to build their supercars, but Mercedes-Benz has NEVER had a supercar.

@L0B03 german cars are far from perfect, terrible reliability based on how many times you have to take it to the dealership in the first 3 years of ownership for something outside of regular maintenance.

@legohalo99 i don't know what you're looking at, i searched the top 100 of the last decade, before the spiral of top 3 german cars, and the first german car starts in at #25, not very good considering the premium they charge. and of 2010, the top 5 manufacturers for reliability include mercury, buick and lincoln, 3 american ones, others are japanese. and yes the german car makers may make a few good models, but half of their lineup is considered below average reliability, kind of bullshit.

All their cars may look good, however they are disposable after 4years. Everything goes wrong on them. We do not recommend keeping Benz cars more than 4 years.
Some are arguing about what AMG is. AMG threathened to never put a badge on a Mercedes again until they were building the entire engines, suspension etc. That is when you saw the 6.2 Liter come in, which is badged as a 6.3 on the fenders. The reason AMG did this was because of Mercedes build quality not being what AMG required. An AMG is no longer a simple modified Mercedes Benz.
I'd take the M6. When the v10 screams it's pure sex. The CLK63 is a DTM street car. The black series is not a normal AMG, it's has everything tore out, no rear seats anything. M6 is a more liveable car.

20 Years of BMW's 3 as car of the year from every auto tester in the world would disagree with you. BMW 5 is a superb car. 6 Series is-meh. We deal in high end German cars. Almost every Benz is AMG & even had a 800+Bhp Barabus S600. Almost every BMW is M. New ZR1 Corvette, Porsches & the occasional Ferrari & Lamborghini. I have been in the automotve industry for 25 years now. We also have a body shop. So, I know the build quality. None of these brands meet the build quality of BMW.

you seriously dont know shit. CL 63 cannot be compared to the M6 cos the CL is a touring GT car (similar to the regular aston martins) and not a sports car made for the track. There is no such segment in the BMW yet. and secondly the C63 amg is comparable to the M3 and not the CLK. so this comparison is totally justified.

ok, they are comparing a regular m6 with a black series clk63. these cars can't compare. maybe an ac schnitzer m6 with a v12 will do. the MB has more torch and a better grip, its black series. the m6 is the basic version while the clk63 is tuned with black series.

insideline doesnt know how to drive. First of all the slalom time should be significantly better since its "black series" It should be in the 70s. But they achieved in the 67s which means that the c63 amg has better handling which is obviously not true

And whether or not AMG was not originally apart of Mercedes, the best mercedes always outperformed the BMW, what car has BMW ever made that has made it into the pages of Automobile history? I could name numerous mercedes such as the 300 SL Gullwing, CLK GTR, SLS AMG, SLR, SLR Stirling Moss and countless more...

@legohalo99 i don't know what you're looking at, i searched the top 100 of the last decade, before the spiral of top 3 german cars, and the first german car starts in at #25, not very good considering the premium they charge. and of 2010, the top 5 manufacturers for reliability include mercury, buick and lincoln, 3 american ones, others are japanese. and yes the german car makers may make a few good models, but half of their lineup is considered below average reliability, kind of bullshit.

@legohalo99 really? i thought i tried as hard as i could to clear this up. reliability and longevity have nothing to do with each other. longevity has more to do with owners than anything. it's not my opinion that german cars are less reliable, every major automotive ranking organization shows german cars are the worst, you even saw for yourself. this reflects nothing in build quality etc., just that on average you spend more time at the dealership compared to almost everyone else.

Some are arguing about what AMG is. AMG threathened to never put a badge on a Mercedes again until they were building the entire engines, suspension etc. That is when you saw the 6.2 Liter come in, which is badged as a 6.3 on the fenders. The reason AMG did this was because of Mercedes build quality not being what AMG required. An AMG is no longer a simple modified Mercedes Benz.

I'd take the M6. When the v10 screams it's pure sex. The CLK63 is a DTM street car. The black series is not a normal AMG, it's has everything tore out, no rear seats anything. M6 is a more liveable car.

20 Years of BMW's 3 as car of the year from every auto tester in the world would disagree with you. BMW 5 is a superb car. 6 Series is-meh. We deal in high end German cars. Almost every Benz is AMG & even had a 800+Bhp Barabus S600. Almost every BMW is M. New ZR1 Corvette, Porsches & the occasional Ferrari & Lamborghini. I have been in the automotve industry for 25 years now. We also have a body shop. So, I know the build quality. None of these brands meet the build quality of BMW.
