Have you got onto any of the stripers in the ocean lately? They've been mucking them up here lately, hogs at that. Heard of several 60's this year. A ton of 40's and 50's!
What of bait did you use?, and sheepshead are great eating

Nice! I am heading out to OI catwalk this weekend and am determined to get some sheepshead. Fishing has been pretty good the past few weeks.

TRY USING JUST A SALMON HOOK AND NO WEIGHT, I USED TO CATCH THEM ALOT EASIER WITHOUT THE WEIGHT MASKING THEIR NIBBLING. HAHA

You werent feeling the bite because you didnt have a tight line. Best way to feel the bite is fish straight down, IMO.
