I just think that too many artists sometimes make statements in a song that just only sound good, and sounding good isn't enough. Take as (possibly poor) example Adele with Set fire fire to rain. Did she REALLY hear it screaming out his name? It sounds great, but that's it.I will never love another man?

I don't think the person who broke up with him is to be blamed for the state of his life.
