  • This looks like it was shot round the Lizard....

  • You can stell let your films rolls get digitalized at your next doors fotolabor

  • what film is this?

  • Excellent job. Quite atmospheric and being 8mm film, it looks older than when it was made. Sort of makes me wonder how a perfume commercial would look if directed by Jean-Luc Goddard.:-)

  • hey !planing on getting a super 8 but I'm totaly new at this! whats the deal with the sound ? I'd be filmimg without and than put the sound extra? does the projector has something to do with it?cant find it on the internet :S very beautiful video btw !

  • I'm working on an 8mm short currently. My first time but I see some real benefits in the format for certain storytelling. Did you study at Falmouth?

We're currently holding networking events across the South West to promote Regional filmmaking, if you're in the area, and still making films it would be good to see you there.

Drop us a message if you'd like to know more or showcase your work, always good to hook up with other filmmakers in the area.

  • nice!

  • Hi, thank you for viewing my channel and subscribing to it. I love your films. 8mm is such a beautiful medium, and I really like it how you create intimate portrait. I do this too. Love your films- long live 8mm film!

  • Wonderful stuff. Great Video.

I ve sent you a message 1 month ago.

Do you want to do a video clip for a band?

    Send me a message.

    cheers

  • i want to know what's the camera, too))

  • bolex 8mm

  • I like it but your product shot is so ougly

  • this is great,,but how did u translate it to the computer?

  • j'ai toujours aimé le bruit du 8mm!

  • Perfect, i love analog film!

  • whats the camera

  • Since I dont 'parlay vou france' I wonder if you could tell me what the VO is?

  • My exGF (chick in the film) Is French she did the VO and made up the words!

  • @xRichyRichx lol nice analogy, since she's your ex now.

  • @nathanielscott I assume you mean "parlez vous français"; if you're trying to sound smart, at least get it right...

  • @oliverparish Wasn't trying to sound smart, I even admitted that I don't speak French. I do think it is kind of weird that you are trolling two year old comments looking to humiliate people.

  • @nathanielscott this smell -couldn't make out the word after this- this memory of his smell, i love... his sensuality, this good being. A want, a fragrance

  • how many minutes does a 50ft film last?

  • 1 min 30 seconds

  • no its 3min20 shot at 18fps

    or 2min30 shot at 24fps

  • 50 feet of super 8 film lasts for 3 minutes and 20 seconds when shot at 18 fps

  • looks very cool,,which film stock did u use?it doesn't look like Kodak film. And which camera did u use?

  • fantastic!

Could you please tell me how you transfered this movie from the film to your computer?

    Thanks

  • yeah good question

  • when you get your film back you need an 8 mm projector on a blank white wall or canvass. then get the best digital video camera you can get your hands on and point it at the projection. some dv cameras have a telecine mode which does its best to capture projected film (otherwise there could be a strobing effect)

  • that's the amateur way to do it. buy a telecine machine (but it's gonna be expensive)

  • oatsNtoast got it in one.

  • awesome :)

  • way batter than other super8 crap on youtube. Well done! Flawless job!

  • Agreed, just wish there was some stuff on here with dialog.

  • looks reaslly good

  • i used to work in advertising , a true talent, very good, its filmed near godfrey right?

  • North Cornwall

  • the best youtube video i have seen in a long time... well done!! Really really like it!

  • excellent, is this negative stock?

  • I used the program "cool Edit pro" borrowed the piano sample from some french CD. Recorded the vocals in the Uni recording studio. then just added wind and waves. Simple

  • how did you mix the sound
