  • The only good thing that came from this movie is that Ed Wood is dead.

  • I love that even thpugh Deep 13 is aboput to blow up, they still find time to watch a movie. Hilarious.

  • There is a bigger store room in the back for the gay orgy tapes :D

  • The girls look like they're on To Tell The Truth. . . .

  • This was before the days of dialup. Ya pretty much had to telegram the porn in those days.

  • @MartianAviator Especially when you're trying to download porn. Damn, it takes so long!

  • 0:09 they hit the nail pretty square on the head... that is a rather masculine woman, or a "best they could do given the era" man. who knows with Ed Wood involved. LOL.

  • This is just a step away from Amish porn, where naughty girls show their ankles.

  • @devospud Amish porn movie, "Just PLAIN Naughty"

  • Who runs the police? The Uptight Mothers of America?

  • @eastwing329 Also, way to conduct a search and seizure without a warrant.

  • I salute you with my cigarette.

  • "Triple Eve Arden"

  • Never thought they would actually have to save the guy who made their lives a living hell.

  • Klein!

  • AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA.... You're stuck here!

  • So they found a lot of movies and pictures of women in rather modest bikinis... Wow...What a find!!

  • @vonzigle Oh, the debauchery!

  • "Never hurt anybody? Well, Mr. Taxpayer, I can tell you that this dirty picture racket is directly corrected to most of the major crimes in this city!"

    "How do ya mean?"

"It would take too long to explain..."

Well, if it's such a direct connection, why would it take a long time to explain? Kinda wrote yourself into a corner there, Ed.

  • @requiem4ameme "Um, it just is! So there!"

  • Love Crow's car crash noise at 7:40

  • Ah, pornography... the bane of conservative and ultraconservative alike.

  • And what Liberals, and UltraLiberals obsess over and revel in.

  • @Phobos1313 Where are you writing this from, the 50s? Fuck off. I'm conservative like porn, AND MST3K.

  • The main investigator is really creepy looking-like his face is half melted or something.

  • "Smut! that's what I love!"

  • At least I have some new material to beat off to...

  • I'm wondering if those trashing the theme of the movie [porn causes all crime] ever considered that it might be satire? I doubt whoever wrote it was earnest about the whole 'evils of porn' rap.

Also, it was common practice to sneak in salacious material by taking a phony moral stance. Ed Wood the cross-dresser shittin a brick over porn? kinda doubt it...

    [continued]

  • @PorkFrog Not only that, but this was Ed Wood's last "serious" movie. After this movie, he started writing for soft-core pornography.

    Kat

  • @PorkFrog Right. Just like Reefer Madness was satire right?

  • @cbrandom Wasn't satire, but had partial nudity in it in the 30's, and they got away with it because it was a 'message' movie-reminds me of seeing 'Schindler's List' on regular TV and seeing full male nudity. If it was a 'regular' movie, they wouldn't allow dick to be shown no matter what in primetime on non-cable TV

  • {continued]

Hilarious tidbit: the government began cracking down on all the 'murder and violence' in thirties gangster pictures, so they just rewrote the pictures and had the G-men do all the onscreen killing, and the government was cool with it then

sorta like the 'war is moral and good if your the one kicking ass' viewpoint

  • 2:30 - "What door?"

    Maybe it was too predictable.

  • -It's the hottest 'Petticoat Junction' ever!!

So THAT'S why Uncle Joe moved mighty slow! RRRR X-D

  • I love Ed Wood and all but this is idiotic. I mean Plan 9 had an anti-war message, Glen or Glenda preached the acceptance of transvestism, and Bride of the Monster was funny and had Bela Lugosi, but this...wtf!?

  • Couldn't agree more, this is the purest crap.

  • @neddx just a flimsy excuse to show some dumpy gals in lingerie, i'm guessing

  • Murder? Rape? Drugs? Nah, it's PORN that needs to be stopped XD

  • Ahahahaha-YOU'RE STUCK HERE!! ( Fugitive alien ) :D

  • @SmokingSpoon

    GOLD!! X-D

  • "Bring me my chair" Bet you Ed Wood said that a LOT. I get the impression he was mainly in film making for the chair-bringing privileges....and the sweaters.

  • If Frank`s going to set off a bomb when the film drops below 50 kilocraps an hour I think we`re safe.

  • This like watching two Friday's from Dragnet dueling to out Friday the other.

  • Thank god, we've got the whole department involved in wiping out the "smut" film industry. After that, I'm sure we'll move on to wiping out less important things, like poverty.

  • @tripoli911 You got that from a Sarah Palin speech, didn't'cha!!??

  • GIGANTRESS!

    The best 'Petticoat Junction' ever!

Whoa, whoa! Hit a wormhole there!

  • Pornography.......nice to know it was stamped out by dedicated police work like this.

  • Frank: Hahahahaha YOU'RE STUCK HERE!

    I died XD

  • LOL, what's going on with Frank? It's funny how he ties up Dr. Forrester, but allows him to keep his arms loose.

  • You're stuck here!

  • "For your information, Mr. Taxpayer, the dirty picture racket can be directly connected to a good percentage of the major crimes in this city!"

Hahaha, well gee, might the fact that porn is a booming black market good have something to do with you outlawing it? Man this movie is dumb.

  • Ironically, this was Ed Wood's last non-porn film.

  • @GusF I'm not surprised, with a name like that.

  • @GusF haw, i was actually wondering while i watched.

  • Alongside the missing finger... that dude has the shortest tie I've ever seen!

  • I love how Mike and the bots faint.

  • "GIGANTRUS!"

     lol

  • "This is a stretch for him--normally he plays elves!"

  • When he exits the theatre, Servo says "Wha Happen?" but this episode was made in 1994. A Mighty Wind didn't come out til 2003. someone help me out WITHOUT being a dick.

  • @shotgunramirez That phrase predates A Mighty Wind by oh, 4 decades or so. They just revived it.

  • @pretorious700 Thanks! In what capacity was it used?

  • @shotgunramirez It was one of many goofy catchphrases originated by Huntz Hall of the Bowery Boys.....no real context to it.

  • @pretorious700 Ok, well I'll have to look him up. Thanks again!

  • @shotgunramirez Ricky ricardo said "wha hoppen??" a LOT in I Love Lucy.

  • so...photographing moms in bathing suits was that illegal in the 50s?

  • "Ow. Ow, ow, OW!"

  • 6:57 - would've made a good stinger

  • Seems Ed Wood has to have the fat guy missing a finger in every film....father in law maybe?

  • When i first saw that crash, i thought it was part of the actual film that Ed Wood just left in. He might have thought it was 'real'.

  • Not even illegal, Ed, you moron

  • OMG, love the Die Hard 3 bit with evil Frank!

  • SMUT! That is a funny word.

Evil Frank rules! The, "You're Stuck Here!" line is perfect.

  • @sleepyhollow783 I don't know why but some reason Frank reminds me of Philip Seymour Hoffman from MI 3 during this episode.

  • "KLEIN!! Woo hoo!"

  • "No Dr. Forrester.. it is YOU who is going to kill ME.."

    HAHAHAHAHA- You're stuck here!

love the callback to Fugitive Alien :D

  • Why am I rooting for the pornographers?

  • 7:43 look at crow and mike hha

  • I've got my whole department......checking porn round the clock. They all volunteered, didn't even ask for overtime.

  • Where do I join?

  • I love how porn can be blamed for all of society's ills.

  • read Ordeal by L. Lovelace

  • Comment removed

  • And his later films were soft core porn.

  • That pratt-fall must have been set up really carefully to prevent Mike doing a header into the puppeteer trenches.

  • I hope.

  • "Gigantris."

  • "How much film do you suppose is in there?" "...Film?"

  • Hey, how did those cops get in my basement!

  • WTF's up with this movie? Was pornography itself once illegal?

  • to VirtualBoy500 If its not than how they made it back then should be...it dosen't go by any of the rules porn is suppose to play to be good!

  • Yes porn was once illegal. Depended on where you were, but most of it was.

  • KLINE!!!

  • Klein!

  • Man, oh, man.....watching silent porn movies from the 1890s and earlier was just a wee bit "better" (as in less smutty) than today's. As they always say, there's nothing new. But Ed Wood would make smut boring as hell, and almost not good enough to snark upon!

  • Ed Wood actually shot some smut- "Nudie cuties"-- That really were nearly as lame as the "porn" depicted in this. They actually did show SOME skin, but that's about the only difference.

  • I wonder how much jail time illicit pornographers did back then? A day? A week? They probably had to pay a fifty dollar fine or something.

  • This was porn back then? Kinda tame compared to what we have now I will say that O.O

  • It's a tacky, Ed Wood kind of porn. The kind that makes you feel dirty, and you don't know why.

  • Nope. That's what GOOD porn does. This kind of stuff just makes you hit the fast forward button.

  • Like in SEX WARS when Princess Lay-ya is talking to Hard2-D2.

  • I missed that one, but I did see STAR WHORES: THE FEM-DOM MENACE.

    I thought it lacked texture.

  • KLEIN!

  • LOL you don't direct Klein, you just get outta the way. :D

  • This guy! Gramps from Teenagers from Outer Space no?

  • Also Bride of the Monster (another MST episode).

  • Yes.

  • Yep, nine-fingered, full-figured Harvey B. Dunn has been in a bunch of MST3K movies.

  • @TomMSTie I know he was in "Teenagers from Outer Space", but what other ones has he been in?

  • @tripoli911 Teenagers from Outer Space (#404), Bride of the Monster (#423), and here in The Sinister Urge (#613).

  • "Could you do me just the teensiest little favour?"

    "Sure, what is it?"

    "HEEEEEEEELP!"

  • Oh, Frank. "Ahahahahahah--YOU'RE STUCK HERE!"

  • Nice little call-back to FUGITIVE ALIEN

  • Ed Wood agonized over this scene- Now it's our turn!

  • Dun-dun-tsst!

  • I don't mean to be difficult, but this smut isn't smutty enough for me.

  • smut wasn't one of the 50s' strength. Now when you're talking baseball or consumerism or cold war rhetoric, the 50s is your decade. But the 50s lagged dangerously behind when it comes to smut technology

  • Yes, not until the mid 60s did America finally corner the smut market, all thanks to a man, a man of vision, a man who liked wearing pajamas all the time...Hugh Hefner.

  • I have to respectfully disagree. Hefner tried to hard to not be smut. When did looking at a playboy ever make anyone feel like they need to shower? That to me is the smut test. I don't think America really pulled ahead in the smut race til a young dreamer named Larry Flint thought to himself "I know, we'll have her spread her legs!" You know, among other things.

  • That's fine, I'm not hear to start fights. You can disagree with me, that's okay. But I reserve the right to call you a smelly poopoo head. :P

  • Playboy was a men's magazine, not a sex magazine. People who feel dirty when they see a naked chick probably need to throw the magazine away and go back to church where they feel good about their guilt.

  • that's what I am saying, playboy isn't smut. Good smut makes you feel like you need a shower. I don't understand your point. Unless it was simply to agree with me of course.

  • I was agreeing with you.

  • Don't kid yourself- They had way smuttier smut than this even in the 1890s. Even the 40s equivalent of Playboy, Esquire, was hotter than this.

  • I've scene wallpaper more erotic than this!

  • And not even on your computer! (Nobody ever sees my home computer but me, and I've tried smutty wallpaper- But I find it entirely too ditracting, and usually keep up the MST3k logo on a black background.)

  • This is really pathetic, but I had this gorgeous wallpaper of Natalie Porman in a red tanktop on my desktop for like a day because every time I looked at it, it served as a painful remind to my accute loserness. :'[

  • That's part of my conundrum- Also, i spend so much time looking at the smutty wallpaper, I don't have time to download any MORE porn!

  • HA! Been there done that!

  • @TomMSTie I've see flypaper more erotic than this.

jeez, now I'll have to explain what flypaper is to the kids.

  • @pretorious700 "Ug see cave drawing more erotic."

  • @pretorious700 Ug see more erotic cave drawing.

  • @TomMSTie Like those in EEGAH

  • @Goblinxx1 Eegah's crypt-keeper family were hotter.

  • @TomMSTie Especially the one that looked like Rose Kennedy.

  • @Goblinxx1 *wolf whistle*

  • S'matter Tom, ain't you never heard Tom Lerher's song "smut"? It's a state of mind, man! As the song puts it:

    When correctly viewed,

    EVERYTHING is lewd!

I could tell ya things about Peter Pan...

And the wizard of Oz? He's a dirty old man!

  • Nope. I'll have to look it up.
