I can see the reasons why Rare wanted to differentiate this from Banjo-Kazooie. Even though it actually looks pretty good and probably, with a little more work, would be fun to play.

I'm guessing Twelve Tales was a sequel to "Conkers: Pocket Tales" I'm a little glad that they made BFD instead of thise, but they could of finished this version up, and release it a year after BFD was released.

Don't get me wrong, CBFD is a GREAT game, but this looks much more fun!! Rareware dumped this version of the game due to there being too many E-rated platformers, but what they failed to realize is that with Conker, and the wonderful backgrounds shown in this video, this game would most likely be famous as well!

It was a bad strategy that they decided it to "stick it" to people by making BFD.

This game could have been popular. It could have been a series.

Look at Conker now; one game only, except for that horrid GBC "remake" of this. A sequel would be the last game in the series they said. It's a cult classic, not a classic.

Conkers pocket tails is pretty much this game ported onto the gameboy. The level themes are the same. I wish both BFD and this game came out at the same times. Rare needs to get on a Jet Force Gemini game asap!

looks like all they kept the game engine exactly the same and just replaced the leves, some sprites, and added cutscenes. They even had the slingshot in this beta. cool.

Conker Twelve Tales looks kinda like a combination of Conker's Pocket Tales and Conker's Bad Fur Day. Although I like Bad Fur Day better, this does look fun to play.

Actually it didn t, some of the sprites of this beta game were in Conker s Bad Fur Day , as well as Birdie ,Berry and the caveman who also were in this game.

Bad Fur Day is my favorite 64 game hands down. Conker has easily become my favorite platforming hero. Even more than Mario! I would still like him even if his game had turned out to be a kids game.

honestly while the final boss in conker's bad fur day was a very good boss. I found "her" kinda boring for a final boss. although the ending itself was absolutely mindblowing imo. but I wish they did something like that as you mentioned.

As much as Conker's Bad Fur Day humour was a revelation the first time I played it, and it is probably true to say that Rare had already done a fair share of very cute platformers on the N64, I find it impossible not to take a shine to the more innocent, energetic, colourful game shown here. What happened to some of the ideas here?
