And, interestingly enough, the only Finnish version of this I can find, with the title "Elämä On Totta", is a much more recent one, sung by Mona Carita.
Real great tip, Marco, thanks a lot, I had forgotten about this song :0) Good oldie to teach my Basic Level English students :0) You know, oddly enough, for English Second Language students all over the world, the Scandinavian and German accents sound clearer than accents such New Yorkean, Texan, Irish, Scottish, Londoner... For example, the Bostonian accent, clearly influenced by Italian, seems easier to understand. It seems to somehow become clearer to the ear. Cheers, friend!
It is interesting that you can always find foreign and never heard versions of wonderful songs. They should be as popular as their originals. Some of the foreign covers are better than the original recording because of the different voice or the interesting language. Thank you, youtube!
@grandprix63 What astupid comment. The Fins could do music too!!! So only Americans or British are supposed to know about music???
Stupid Americans, they think only THEY have a musical industry, musicians and singers...other countries still living in caves wearing fur and hunting bisons or sabertooth !!
@rodolphegilles I think grandprix63 was joking around. In North America....and I would suspect in other countries also.....their citizens are more accustomed to their own stars and singers. This is the first time I heard this version.....I LOVE IT.....Laila have a deeper voice than the other singers of this song.
@grandprix63 at this time and age ,when the world is flooded with stupid hiphop and rap songs, the Fins are probably producing some of the best music around . Just check out some of the Finnish bands that exist and you'll understand ;)
Ah, Laila. The fabulous Finn. Sweet.
