Using the name Sublime with Rome has nothing to do with legal reasons. Due to the tightness of his members of the band, they wouldn't feel right saying this song was made by Sublime because it would mean Bradley was around to make the song with them, and he's not. It all has to do with respect from the bandmates, nothing to do with Brad's mom or wife suing if they use the name. His wife and mom have nothing to do with it.

I saw them last weekend in Tucson and it was a PHENOMENAL show. The crowd was just ecstatic. They played a solid set with plenty of new material and god damn I have to admit I had almost as much fun during the new stuff as I did belting along to Santeria and Bad Fish. i mean, it's alright music. It just doesn't have the gritty sound of earlier Sublime-and really Brad brought an authenticity to the sound that made Sublime so good. I'm kind of reluctant to support bands that use the name in the event a critical member asked them not to. in the case of ac/dc it was ok-it wasn't explicitly requested that a named was changed. Brad was really too critical to the sound to keep the legacy alive.
